An Assault Gone Awry

Grim_Town_Raid_1

In an effort to break the ceasefire forced upon the Horde by the fool, Varian Wrynn, The Grim concocted a scheme to assassinate all the heads of each major Alliance nation. A rapidly assembled war group, with Horde allies, was sent to Ironforge to begin the slaughter.

Unfortunately, due to the arrival of the Iron Horde, the Alliance leadership had prepared and trained themselves to new heights. While the newly trained guards were defeatable, the Council of Three Hammers proved too much for The Grim and their allies to overcome. In light of this new information, The Grim cut their losses and withdrew from the city.

However, the Alliance were not going to go unbloodied. In succession, The Grim visited Darkshire, Lakeshire, Goldshire, and the very gates of Stormwind itself, to deliver a message that Peace Through Annihilation was only delayed, and that the meaningless ceasefire imposed by the pinkskins and their dogs was worth less than the scrap of parchment it was written on.

Nine Years of Peace Through Annihilation

Grim Ninth Anniversary.

Grim Ninth Anniversary Meeting at Bloodhoof Village, Mulgore. More than twenty-five members of the guild were in attendance at this historic occasion.

The Grim have been through countless battles over the years, struggles and conflicts, and each time we have emerged victorious in the end. Nine years. Nine years of Peace Through Annihilation. Within our hallowed halls we harbor the full might and diversity of the Horde: Orc, Troll, Forsaken, Tauren, Blood Elf, and Goblin alike, all united by one purpose; the absolute destruction of the Alliance, and all who might oppose the Horde and threaten our families and loved ones. Through thick and thin, we, The Grim, have persevered. Here’s to many more days, months, and years of camaraderie, shenanigans, and bloodshed in the wide, wild world of Azeroth.

FOR THE HORDE!

FOR THE GRIM!

PEACE THROUGH ANNIHILATION!

Heroes Battle Every Challenge, From Proto-Drakes To Giant Robotic Scorpions

Acting the Hero once again, The Grim faced off against Warlord Zaela’s Proto-Drake, Galakras, and its waves of minions.

Galrakas

Dispatching the beast easily, they pressed the gates of beloved Orgrimmar only to see an abomination of engineering lay waste to the Darkspear Rebellion’s forces.  The Grim reduced this device to nothing but parts with a valiant battle. This robotic monstrosity was truly a marvel of technology, and one can expect to see it reverse engineered by our forces soon.

A Horde Gathering

HordeGathering 7-31-14

As news of Alliance reinforcements spread, The Grim called for a gathering of Horde guilds to introduce each other and then hunt the Alliance threat.  The gathering took place on the evening of July 31, and many of the Horde joined in the event.

Guild representatives who spoke included:

  • Awatu Stonespire, the Commander of The Grim
  • Darethy Voidblade, Death Master of the Blackguard
  • Bella, Song Bird of the Nightingales
  • Lord Tylissius Sunkillr of The Jeweled Blood
  • Poras Whitehoof, Legate of Pango Honoratus
  • Kiraleen Starvale, Field Marshal of The Outriders
  • Enforcer Stonzgrinda of the Bloodfury Clan

The Grim probably won’t have too many dealings with a couple of the guilds that were there last night.  Their loyalty to the Horde is questionable at best.   The Outriders representative informed us that they have an accord with the Alliance guild, Twilight Empire, and do not believe in attacking Alliance without provocation.   The Bloodfury Clan representative stated they were loyal to Garrosh and fought in his defense during the siege of Orgrimmar.

The rest of the guilds present, however, may be useful to us in one way or another, whether that be assisting us in battles against the Alliance, or filling in during a battle against other enemies, or just sharing information.  (Bella of the Nightingales mentioned that she specializes in information gathering.)

After the feast and guild introductions, Fanyare the Unbreakable led us on an Alliance hunt.  We first went to the Timeless Isle, but we found very little opposition there.  We went to Stormwind next, however, the Alliance were waiting for us there and drove us out fairly quickly.

The Grim Are Proud, But Not Too Proud

kVUY2BT

The Sha of Pride unleashed all of its vile power upon the Grim, bombarding our forces from rifts which tore our world asunder and sending our warriors into the shadowy realms.  However, his attacks were no match for our Heroic onslaught, and another minion falls before our might.  The forces under the command of Galrakas put up a tremendous defense of the beachhead near Orgrimmar, and the Grim were forced to withdraw for a new round of planning.  Much intel was gathered in our initial push, and we expect the Dragonmaw to merely be a speed bump as we move toward the gates.

The Grim Have Been Busy Acting The Hero

The Ten Storms have been busy in their assault on Garrosh’s forces, moving now against the elite troops he has sent against our Heroes.  Nothing will stop the Grim’s Heroic actions, and one by one his minions fall before our might.

Immerseus, The Fallen Protectors, and Norushen’s challenges have all been met with success, and soon The Sha of Pride will be overcome as well.

The Grim have also occupied themselves with defeating past foes.  Their deeds have convinced the Quartermaster to release the Reins of the Thundering Jade Cloud Serpent to its members.  All throughout Pandaria and the other realms shall know the Glory of the Grim’s front line forces thanks to this beautiful specimen.

Spring Kosh’harg

On Thursday night, members of The Grim attended the Spring Kosh’harg event in Nagrand, hosted by the Thundering Hammer Clan.  The event, held on the spring equinox, is to honor the Orcish clans and ancestors, though all Horde were invited.  Grims in attendance included Commander Awatu, Syreena, Canai, Ruuki, Sunderpalm, Ishiki, Kogrona, Lunataure and Lilliana.

The evening started with a procession of guilds out of Garadar to Halaa.  Each guild marched together on matching mounts, and called their words as they emerged from the gates of Garadar along the road lined with spectators.  The Grim members rode wolves.

In Halaa, we enjoyed a feast of several dishes, including the bodies of the fallen Alliance who foolishly attacked us.  As we ate, we listened to storytellers tell us tales of the Horde.

WoWScrnShot_032014_222914

Next, we went to the Ring of Trials where we watched a Blademaster Contest where various members of the Horde fought each other for glory.  After a few skirmishes in the stands, the fighting in the ring began.  This included an exhibition round of a healing druid and warrior against a healing paladin and death knight.  This round took so long, but finally, the warrior fell and then the druid, leaving the paladin and death knight the victors.  A warlock won the tournament, and was awarded with a jeweled panther mount.

WoWScrnShot_032014_225753

Finally, we traveled to Oshu’gun.  We all gathered outside the mountain.  The shaman among us were called forward, and went into the mountain, while the rest of us waiting outside in the rain.  Finally, they came back out to cheers of (mostly) “For the Horde!”   Shortly after, everyone went their separate ways.

((This was a cross-server Horde RP event hosted by the Thundering Hammer Clan and Riders of Eternity on the Feathermoon server.  Sounds like it’s every year in the spring and in the fall.  It was a lot of fun!))
