Greetings and welcome from the players of The Grim. If you are reading this, you are either a casual observer or interested in joining The Grim Echo.
Who Are The Grim?
The Grim Echo is a role-playing guild based around a group of adventurers who search for relics of the past and turn them into weapons they can use to fight for the future. It is the Grim’s belief that beneath Eorzea lies the power to defeat the Empire and Primals – ancient secrets of fallen empires, weapons forged in umbral eras long forgotten: the grim echoes of the past. If we have any hope of surviving this age, then these secrets must be unearthed and used.
There are those who believe themselves above the use of theft, deceit, or force to do what is necessary. They are not Grim. There are those who fear reaching for the dark, the dangerous, or the forbidden. They are not Grim. The Grim know that even though they may be damned, victory is worth any price. History will vindicate us.
The Grim are a guild of action; a collection of role-players that want to play the game. While we strive to excel, we are a role-playing guild first. When other players interact with a Grim character, they do so knowing that we are always in-character and ready to play.
We could be for you if:
- You enjoy role playing AND
- Your character is fascinated by the past, darkly curious, ambitious, or just aching for revenge AND
- You enjoy the endgame
If you are a role player who enjoys playing the game – that is doing end game content – we could be for you.
We are not for you if:
- You do not enjoy role playing OR
- You want to ‘work things out’ with the Empire and the Beastmen OR
- You want to focus your RP on relationship drama, etc. OR
- You do not enjoy the endgame
If you are looking for a guild that is strictly PvE or PvP with no in-character context, or just want to sit in the pub and bemoan the cruel vicissitudes of fate, then we are not for you.
