Inactivity Policy

The Grim is an active company, made up of members with an active play style.  While life cannot and should not be put on hold for a game, The Grim take a serious stance on inactive and non-participating members.

All members have a thirty (30) day inactivity limit before they are removed.  Certain conditions exist that will extend that limit, as stated below:

  • If a member is aware they will be unable to log into FFXIV for more than a month’s time, they must contact the Company Master or the Magister asking for a leave of absence (LOA).  The member can either send a private message (PM) on the forums or make a post in The Gibbering Madness.
  • A Leave of Absence will last three (3) months.  If the member does not contact the Company Master or an officer within that three month period, the member will be removed from the guild.
  • An extension to a Leave of Absence will be granted for extra-ordinary circumstances.  These include, but are not limited to; military deployments, international business travel, inability to pay subscription, complex computer or internet problems, family emergencies.  These will all be looked at on a case-by-case basis, with the final decision being made by the Company Master.  It is up to the member to inform the officers if an extra-ordinary circumstance happens, as none of us can read minds or astrally project to your geographic location.  We’ve tried.
