She listened to the answer, and for a few long, uncomfortable moments, it would feel as though she truly were standing before some judge that was deciding her fate. She gave no indication of whether the answer was correct, or incorrect, or even if it was sufficient. After the tense silence, she finally spoke.
"The path we walk under the guidance of the Mandate is not an easy one. Many in the very Horde that we protect do not understand our methods, nor do they have the stomach to do what must be done. You must be steadfast in your convictions, and relentless in your tasks. There is very little leeway for mistakes, for even the tiniest misstep could be your death, or the death of the comrade that is relying on your skills as much as you rely on theirs." She crossed her arms, tilting her head slightly to relieve some little ache or possibly to crack her neck some. "Do you know the words of the Mandate?"

Re: New to the Ranks
Caelena nodded along with the Tauren as she spoke. She had done her research on the Grim after speaking with Kiannis. Before she woke up with wings, no eyes, and the ability to see through walls, she had never been a terribly violent Elf, mind you, she'd never really given it a try. But then, as she slowly discovered her powers, she had felt the thrill of the hunt, the thrill of battle and something had awoken from deep inside the diminutive Elf. It was the type of feeling you could only get if you had been truly been weak and helpless, then one day found yourself more powerful then you could have ever imagined. While her size had not changed, her abilities certainly had.
"Peace through annihilation." She said quietly. "Yes, I have read the mandate."

Re: New to the Ranks
"Those are three very simple words, on the outset. But those words are the foundation upon which this guild stands. To each and every one of us, however, it is a guide for our actions in battle. We all have our own interpretations of the Mandate- what is your interpretation?"
While waiting for Caelena to answer, she sat at the massive desk, flipping open a logbook of some sort and making a few notes in it. She returned her attention fully to the Demon Hunter, waiting.

Re: New to the Ranks
Mai’kull settled in a corner of the office as he silently observed Ruuki interact with the little elf. She didn’t look like most of the Illidari he had encountered, maybe she was not as rigorously trained as the rest? It was a shame, as Illidan’s teachings matched closely to their own Mandate, though more focused on Demons than Alliance. He reflected on the meaning of the Mandate, and the bleak acceptance of truth he discovered from it. It was interesting to decipher how others viewed and followed the same code.
Re: New to the Ranks
"We kill them all." The words were so easily said that it almost surprised Caelena. She had grown up her entire life fearing and hating the Alliance, and now she had the power to do something about it. There was no way the Horde could possibly fight both the Demon threat and the Alliance threat at the same time, peace could only happen in one way, with the destruction of both her enemies.
Re: New to the Ranks
"Good. You will report to me for your trials. Your first, the Trial of Resolve, requires you to speak with at least three ranked Grim, to learn of their views on the Mandate and how they live it. Seek out Dreadweaver Cayli Duskvale, Irredeemable Lupinum the Deathless, and..." She glanced at Mai'kull with a knowing smirk. "Reaper Mai'kull Fireweaver. Learn their views, and report to me what you learn from them. If you decide to expand your list, you are certainly encouraged to do so. You have one moon to complete these interviews. If you need assistance finding armor or weapons, they should be able to point you in the right direction, Cayli especially as she is one of our resident Demon Hunters."
She arched an eyebrow at Caelena. "Any questions? If not I recommend you get to work."

Re: New to the Ranks
Caelena gave a short curt nod and another brilliant smile to the Tauren.
"Understood!"
Then she turned swiftly and eyed the Forsaken who had first greeted her when she arrived. "Well Mr. Fireweaver, it seems you are fated to spend some more quality time with yours truly! Have you any crazy plans for the next little while or can you spare some time for a curious soul?"

"There is still much work I have to return to, but I will make time to speak with you. Probably best you try and speak with the others first, as they have been initiated longer than I." he responded.
He bowed before the little elf respectfully, then gave Ruuki a salute. "Thank you for allowing me to stand in, High Inquisitor. It was a very pleasant learning experience."
Mai'Kull moved to the door and out into the hallway, as he walked, he weaved the magics within his hands and with a bright flash of neon purple light, disappeared from the Grim Halls back to Dalaran.
