Connection issues

Unread post by Zahak »

Anyone else having problems connection to WoW today?
I can't get past the "success!" part
and looks like wikipedia and other websites aren't loading aswell

According to Nortrom the same is happening there, so I wonder if it's an internet problem or our connection service f*ing up again.

No problems here.  Been around the internet just fine all day.  Is it Brasil?

Yes it is.

Looks like it's a problem with our (nortrom and I have the same) connection server/provider
Cessily's connection is fine, but we don't have the same service.

Could be maintenance or their stupid protocol that says they must shut down part of their machines when it rains.

heh not really. Amazonia is all way at the other side of the country.
It's a company rule: every rain above X mm makes they turn of the system.
The central is located in an unstable eletric zone and rains makes the power go down.
For them dealing with angry users is cheaper than replacing burnt equipament.

Heh.  After my comment, ended up getting slammed by a snowstorm and losing power for two hours during prime game time.  Weather is evil!

I still have no answer from the company.
Chances are I won't be online today again.

As I recall, I'm about 3 hours south of you?  Haha!

I blame the river.  Stupid water.  And actually, it was just this block.  The block across the street on both sides was fine.  In fact, was able to run across the street and buy matches from the fully functional convenience store. Bleh.  Not that I went out in that weather.  Not gonna risk being blown away.  There are minions for that.

They had a system restart on tuesday morning and looks like someone made some serious shit there.
They reported the "know connection issue" and plan to have it corrected tonight at midnight (or tomorrow.... that makes 9pm server time)
The way things are around here I don't expect to be back anytime soon.
