Redflare tosses and turns in his sleep, and a stifled moan escapes from under his mask. A vision of dark fog clouds his dreams, with a female silhouette off in the distance. No matter how much he ran, the figure remained the same distance apart. As his strains to reach the female became desperate, an icy cold cackle boomed through his head, and a flash of a familiar devilish face passed over his eyes. The same long, dark hair, the unreal glowing red eyes, and the lustful face of a vixen was abruptly sundered with her opening her mouth, revealing rows of sharpened fangs, glistening with fresh blood. The demon gave off another eerie laugh as all became dark once more.
The Aldor Rise Tavern was quiet, as the night maid made her rounds. A sound from a nearby room caught her attention, and she pressed her ear flat against the door, listening within. The sounds of painful moaning and screaming boomed from within the room, and the Draenei paused for a moment before beating on the door.
"Sir, is everything all right? Sir? Sir?!"
She flung the door open, catching sight of the flailing High Elf, and ran to his bedside. Upon a closer glance she could tell he was having a nightmare, and attempted to wake him up by shaking him. She caught a fist underneath the chin, and backed away, stunned. After regaining her composure, she darted from the room momentarily, returning with two medics.
" He seems to be hallucinating.. Something must be wrong.. What should we do? "
The nearby Sha'tari studied the dillusioned Assassin, and pulled back the sheets to the bed.
The wound on Redflare's abdomen had begun to fester, and the blood that seeped was of a darker hue than normal, almost black. The other medic left the room, returning with a damp cloth to press against the wound, and another to apply to the patient's forehead. After a couple moments, the flailing subsided, and he became still, lost in deep sleep.
The Draenei looked from one another, pure horror in their eyes. They silently bandaged up Redflare's torso, and left without further notice, quietly closing the door behind them, allow him once again to fall into his dreams.
