Many Grim and friends attended Cristok's Challenge at the Shimmering Flats speedway on sunday. While feasting on Windroc Eggs and Kodo Jerky we watched 14 combatants compete for a 170 gold prize.
The festivities began with Duranor being upset by Kazgard, then Khadmus made short work of Mavia. Drinn taught Kazthul a lesson, followed by a stalemate match between Tecunuman of Kolkron and our own Aest. Cristok destroyed the formidable Nagoroar as all can attest to. Isendur and Deathshadow defeated the Mages Dibraji and Renek respectively.
Our second round began with Kazgard defeating Khadmus. The most anticipated match up of the event then followed; between Aest and Deathshadow. In a a narrow victory Death prevailed. Drinn then vanquished Tecunuman, who put up a greater fight than any thought possible. The biggest surprise of the tournament was when Isendur the Usurper upset the clear crowd favorite, Cristok, in a match that had Isendur almost to his death for most of the match...almost being the operative word...
The final rounds involved Kazgard slaying Drinn, in our first rouge on rouge match up and Deathshadow making short work of Isendur. The final match was Rouge v.s. Priest, as many of the gambling goblins at the race track bet, Deathshadow prevailed taking home the gold and the glory.
