Calling all digital artists!
Calling all digital artists!
Ok, I'm looking for a good program for drawing and painting digitally, since my old copy of photoshop (which was a hacked version) won't install anymore. The current Photoshop is a monthly sub, and I checked out Corel painter, it's $430. I got a new Wacom tablet for Valentine's and I want to get back into drawing, but I need a good program.

Inkscape
The Gimp <- *very* powerful but even more complicated
Krita <- don't know this one but it looks good.
Paint.net <- more about photo editing but some drawing stuff too.

I ended up going with Sketchbook Pro 7, since it was a reasonable 50 bucks on Amazon. We'll see how it works out.
Re: Calling all digital artists!
I like Photoshop, how can I get the free version?
Re: Calling all digital artists!
If you have a mac then I can help.
For me it's illustrator or photoshop for drawing.
I actually just setup this amazing recording of keystrokes that does some stuff... I should post it. Meh. Oh, and Chance got a surface pro - there's a paint program on that which runs super awesome (I'll find out the name when i get home today). What's lovely is that is being mostly tablet it's like a a cintiq.
