Fhenrir

Unread post by Fhenrir »

Fhenrir was still dubious about the harsher methods of the Grim, particularly the rigid stance on annihilation, but his talk with Leyu'jin had convinced him that allying with them was the right choice; at least for the time being. They stood as one of the strongest forces still focusing efforts on the ever-looming threat of the Alliance, while many seemed to be turned inward on each other.

Fhenrir preferred to avoid the conflict entirely, uncomfortable ever turning his weapon on an orc for anything more than a sparring match in the Arenas. The Grim's efforts against the Alliance would be a solid home for him to focus on what he wanted.

He wrote a short letter by hand, inked onto a simple leather he'd bought from Thunder Bluff. He'd then left in Leyu'jin's care, confident he'd deliver it to any eyes that needed to see it.

"My name is Fhenrir Phoenix; once, long ago, Fhenrir Darkstorm. I have worked with The Grim in the past when our objectives aligned. Many of you have earned my respect on the battlefield, as I trust I've earned yours. Some of you have earned my trust both on and off the battlefield, something not many can say.
There are fewer warriors than ever focused on our enemy, the Alliance. Your efforts stand as some of the strongest. You've endured the test of time.
I would ally with The Grim, if you would have me.
--- Lieutenant General Fhenrir Phoenix."

The little rogue smiled as she read the note, the warrior's name bringing to mind memories of days long past and the glorious battles to be had back then. Her smile broadened into a wide grin when she read that Fhenrir finally wanted to become Grim, and she quickly wrote a note in return.

Fhenrir,

I'll be at the Wyvern's Tail at 8:30 Sunday evening if you can join us there.

Fhenrir read the note and tucked it into his back pocket. He knew he didn't need to send a reply - the fact that he'd sent a letter in the first place indicated his intent to follow through.

He would be there.
