He violated the UCoMJ... willingly. Whistleblowing is one thing, dumping files to an unknown entity is just dumb.

Basically that the constitution is being followed very well in this courtroom. This isn't some secret court, he wasn't shipped off to be held without trial, and that the biggest charge (which was silly) was debunked by a group of his peers. The man fucked up and deserves some prison time. There's no doubt about that.
