Grim Application For Hudah

How did you hear about The Grim?

- Player of Frygyd speaks highly of the Grim to me, about how mature and supportive it is.

What experience do you have with internet forums? Do you check them frequently or infrequently?
- I check some forums with great frequency, upwards of a twenty times a day. Others, I visit less than once a week, it varies widely by my level of involvement with the particular and community.

What sort of role-playing experience do you have? Would you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
- Those who have played with me in various table top, mud, email, newsgroup, chat, and mmorpg games would say I am an accomplished role-player, GM, and storyteller. However, I consider myself slow to warm up to new genres or character concepts. Once I do find my own personal 'hooks', some genres or individual characters become a part of my every day thinking, where I often behaving one way but keep a running internal narrative of how my characters would act. I immerse myself in role-play to understand different perspectives and hope for the enjoyment for myself and others in the process. I am not sure how that rates in the above scale but there you have it.

The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild. Do you have any experience playing a character of this alignment or a character archetype that believes in structure with evil intent?
- I have portrayed dark priests, vampires wrestling with immortality at the expense of innocent lives, assassins, thieves, and shades of grey. The closest example in the context of Lawful Evil would be a petty thief turned leader of a Guild of Thieves over the years, said guild having strict codes of conduct and a place in controlling crime. This character enjoyed an array of evil deeds and amassing power, but worked within a structure based on rules and tradition at all times, and valued order and personal codes.

Have you been part of any other guilds in World of Warcraft? If so, who were they and what server do or did they reside on? Let us know of your experience with them and what made you decide to either leave or continue to stay.
- I am a part of an alliance guild, Defenders by Choice, on the Shadow Council server. I had cancelled my account for a short time and returned to WoW after Mists of Pandaria released to try a Pandaren on the Twisting Nether with the player of Frygyd. I like the guild Defenders by Choice, it is a small guild but has integrity and virtue. However, I am simply not playing that character at the moment and have not since renewing my WoW subscription.

Are you applying on an alt (non-main) character? If so, what are you looking for here that you are not getting from your main character? If you are feeling honest or adventurous, please let us know who your main is.
- No, Hudah is not an alt. Hudah is my main character at this time.

What are your expectations for your character after joining The Grim. What aspect of the game, if any, do you wish to focus on?
- I am enjoying learning how to play a Pandaren, and specifically a Mistweaver Monk. I expect to be levelling for quite some time, however some in character chatting now and then during fishing or other low intensity activities would be welcome. I will probably get into PvP after I feel more comfortable with the workings this class and race.

What is your PvE (player-versus-environment) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a raid environment? Do you have any PvE experience from other MMO games?
- I have played a human discipline priest as a main healer or tank healer. At times I got kudos, at times dungeons and raids fell apart and I felt responsible, and on few occasions I was blamed and indeed responsible. I enjoy the healer role in WoW. In most MMO's that I have played, I have taken on a healer role for I cannot help looking at the health bar of allies and wanting to keep them alive. I would say I am not particularly good at it, due to the 'Mario Brothers' nature of many of the more complex fights, but the healer role is what I enjoy regardless.

What is your PvP (player-versus-player) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a PvP environment? Do you have any PvP experience in other MMO games?
- I jumped in randomly to PvP's for fun when I was level 85 with my alliance discipline priest. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I could have done better at knowing all the objectives and maps. I mostly found a tank or DPS oriented group who knew what they were doing to stick with them and heal them and invoke the very much hated priestly fear on enemies.

What is your regular World of Warcraft play schedule? If your answer is "anytime", "flexible", or some other vague word please describe why. Our scheduled interview times are 8pm on Monday and 10am on Wednesdays. Can you make either of those times?
- I am unavailable to play US daytimes before 7pm Sunday through Wednesday. My playtimes lately are an hour or two, a few times a week, on various evenings. I would be available for an interview 8pm on Monday, and most evenings with a bit of notice around that time.

How is your computer performance when playing World of Warcraft? What is your FPS/load times during heavy graphical or high population times? Is your internet connection stable?
- I just got a new gaming laptop. I am just now level 20 and have not gotten in to high graphic content or high population areas yet, or if I have, I have not noticed a dip in performance. I have a FiOS business line with an stable internet connection.

Provide an armory link to your character.

Do you have anything further to add?
- I particularly enjoy all professions, main and secondary. For this character I have chosen leatherworking and skinning. I have also been playing with cooking and fishing so far and plan to get the remaining secondary professions. I like professions so much sometimes entire WoW sessions may be dedicated to profession oriented activities. I enjoy being self sufficient in this, not desiring or requiring help in levelling my profession skills. I will enjoy starting to contribute to the guild bank for others' needs when my skills are high enough to obtain ingredients and make wares that are in demand.

Thank you for reading and for your consideration,
Hudah
