Sethinus Riftwind

Unread post by Khorvis »

(IC) What name or title do you go by?
- Sethinus Riftwind

(IC) What is your gender and race?
- Nobody ever called me less than a man. A male Sin'dorei.

(IC) What is your class in life? Why did you choose to follow this class?
- I'm a warrior. If you're going to kill something or someone, don't play at it. Just stick your sword in 'er.

(IC) How many "Honorable" Kills do the Battlemasters currently have recorded for you?
- They say 122, but do you trust their math?

(IC) What drives you in life? How would the Grim benefit from having you among its ranks?
- Moolah! When there's a war and killin', there's some gold to be made. Seems like your business is boomin'! And as I don't see peace as being any too near. Annihilation is gonna make me … us … a ton of shiny new coins.

(IC) What did you do prior to The Grim?
- This 'n that. A sword needs to keep 'erself sharp, right? Just you worry about how we'll be makin' a fancy name for ourselves.

(IC) What are your thoughts of the new direction the Horde has taken since the Cataclysm?
- That new fellow, Hellscream? He does right by me. Straight forward businessman. Kill 'em and take the land … women … gold, whatever.

(OOC) The Grim is a role-playing guild that requires full immersion (heavy RP) of their members. What does that mean to you?
- I understand The Grim as a guild that honestly attempts to incorporate roleplay with the actual activity of the game. The idea of remaining in character while raiding or PvPing really excites and engages me, much more so than “tavern roleplay” or other text based interaction. Also, the continuity that occurs from keeping the Guild itself in character is very appealing.

(OOC) The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild, ruled by a structure with the intent to see the complete annihilation of their enemies. Does this definition conflict with how you want to play your character? If it does, how do you expect to handle the conflict with other members?
- I do not see a conflict in the terms set out. Sethinus seeks to profit from the war. The Grim seek to engage in the war. Until The Grim alters their objective, my character is very much in support of its goals.

(OOC) What sort of role-playing experience do you have, online or off-line? Do you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
- Of course I fall somewhere in between. I have several years experience roleplaying on WoW and I run a D&D group in my spare time. In terms of my experiece's value to the guild, I do think that I can offer an engaging character that can be incorporated into existing guild storylines and present new content to established members. I have no desire to soapbox, grandstand, or otherwise troll.

(OOC) Is this character a server-transfer or has it been renamed recently? If so, what was your previous server and/or in-game name?
- I have previously been a member of The Grim as Khorvis, an orc warrior. I took an extended break at the end of Wrath of the Lich King to focus on my real-life career, which has come together nicely, allowing me the free time to re-enlist.

(OOC) What are you, the player, looking for in the Grim? What are your expectations of the guild?
- I expect to be a familiar face and a weekly regular, willing to offer my assistance to guildmates as they need it. I want to come back to a guild that I felt had lasting value and be a part of its progression. In return, I expect a fair shot at joining a raid group or pvp ensemble, though I am fully aware of logistical necessities. I would like in-character interaction.

(OOC) When joining the Grim, each new applicant will be matched up with someone to help them get into the swing of being Grim. In order to coordinate this, we will need to have a fair approximation of your play schedule. Please give a general outline below, OR if you wish to keep it private, send a PM to Ashenfury.
- I am online in the early afternoons and evenings. Also, late-nights are frequent.

(OOC) Please provide an armory link to your character for verification.

(IC/OOC) Do you have anything further to add?
Thanks for giving me a fair shake at this. I know the officers are here as volunteers, and I appreciate your time. Also …

PEACE THROUGH ANNIHILATION!!!!
