Cult hunting
Re: Cult hunting
Therean looked from left to right, fully feeling that he was in way over his head. Looking to Nika and Bryii he explained, "I'm not trying to delay at all. I found myself disoriented and alone in Orgrimmar this today. People are calling me 'Therean'. All indications, like this tabard, and accounts of frequenters of the Wyvern's tail Inn, point to you- the Grim. I came here to get to the bottom of whatever it is that you did to me, have you undo it, and be on my way. It sounds like this Nyali is in some imminent trouble. If you were to but return my powers to me, remove this troll shadow Hex, or whatever it is that is blocking me from my magic and memories, I could open a portal, bathe your enemies in fire, rescue this Grim, and be done with it."
Therean paused for a moment and fixaed on Bryii, troubled, "You... who are you? Your voice...". Therean began to reel somewhat. He recognised these people, their voices, the face of the Orc, the rasp of the forsaken. Tensing, he raised his axes awkwardly close to himself.

Re: Cult hunting
Ryanica hardly ever paid attention to her stone. Most of the time it was just gibberish from other Grim. She rarely spoke unless she was spoken to. Tonight was one of those nights.
"Ryanica..."
She recognized the voice immediately. Nyali. Her voice was in pain and distress,
"Nyali! What's wrong?!"
"T'rean...." her voice went dead.
What was going on?
The huntress felt anger and a sense of fear for her druid friend. She rode to Wyvern's Tail. Surely there would be other Grim and answers there, as that was their typical hideout.

Re: Cult hunting
Nika watched Therean warily as he explained himself. She shook her head, her eyes narrowing as he lifted his axe. Turning, she looked to Ashenfury again.
Re: Cult hunting
"It looks like we have two Warbringers in trouble. I don't have time for this Therean. Bryii, jog his memory. If he doesn't come around restrain him. Knithawk..."
The sheep that ambled outside flashed into the shape of Knithawk.
"... I want you to stay with Therean. Nika, where is Nyali right now?"

Re: Cult hunting
Nika looked vastly relieved when Ashenfury seemed to set things into motion. She pushed away from the wall she had been leaning against, speaking quickly.
"On Alcaz island in Dustwallow Marsh. Just before the cell I was held in, there is a pool of water to the right that conceals a secret tunnel. Dive down and follow it to another wing of cells. Nyali is locked inside, bound to the wall with ice. Two females are with her, one was dressed in cloth robes, some sort of magic user I guess. She addressed the other female as Lyra. One Tauren guard was posted outside when I was there, but I've seen up to four others in the past, so it's a group of some sort. They were about to hurt her, so I got here as fast as I could. You'll need people to engage the people inside the cell with Nyali so they can't hurt her before you get the door opened. A hunter like Ryanica or Mohan, maybe. Or someone with magic. I can probably pick the lock, but we need to take the ones inside with her out first, and quickly. I would recommend taking at least three other people, maybe more in case more of them show up."

Re: Cult hunting
A new voice. One that triggered a memory of comfort, trust and duty. It vibrated through the stones to her. She could not place the name. Was the Darkness speaking to her? She cringed away from it as the memory seared through her mind, being fed to Them. She hated them. Why? She didn't know, all she knew was They were the source of pain. The familiar voice kept speaking, joined with another, masculine voice.
It disappeared soon after it appeared, crushing the glimmer of hope she had gained. A feline chuffed at her. She returned to herself. A hand was placed on her head, and she shrank back. A searing pain rippled through her brain as images sprung through her mind. They were searching for something. The thing's voice sounded bored as it spoke to her. Images of people she once knew flickered in her mind, each one awoke a spark of memory, but was greedily snatched away by shadowed hands.
She was tired...all so tired...
The hand was lifted off her head, and she was left. The feline purred. Was it mocking her?

Re: Cult hunting
With Ashenfury gone, Bryii and Nika watched Therean. The tavern had a different aura filling inside almost dark, radiating off Bryii she glares at Therean as her fingers are wrapped with a shock of light, which could put any size body in shock. "Therean please relax and tell me what's been going on, if I do recall you trust e remember the faire?" Bryii pointed her fingers towards Therean's body ready to shoot when possible. " I am here to help you if I can but I follow the mandate as you should be also too, I have no problem taking you in as prisoner." Bryii summoned her guardian of the kings to assist, looking down at Nika he nods showing her he will protect her.
"Now speak before I become unpleasent."

Re: Cult hunting
Knithawk sat quietly in the background observing Bryii and Nika. The mage had never heard such a tone erupt from what was normally a quite and angelic blood elf. Therean, stood in shock as the guardian grasped him by his left arm, disarming him of his axes somewhat willfully from the now shaking elf.
Without being noticed, Knithawk blinked out of the hall and fumbled through his bags grasping his communication stone.
"Ashenfury, seems 'angel lips' has the adherent under control. Is my assistance needed in the recovery of Nyali?"

PEACE THROUGH ANNIHILATION, AT ANY COST!
Re: Cult hunting
Therean thrashed and is face twisted with rage. "Unhand me you bitch!", he spat, losing his temper, "I am Dorinthar Everflare, magister! Maybe these savages don't understand the wrath of the Silvermoon high court but you surely do. A courier has already been dispatached to Kael'thas himself. Dare to think what the high court will think of a treasonous wench in the service of rotting and tusked animals holding a sunshod warden of Quel'Danas. Without my word to abate them, they will rain down arcane fury on your pathetic light wielding husk faster than you can get on your knees to pray. I am not 'Therean', nor do I recall your 'faire'. Now put me down, repeal your savage hexxes, or by Dath'Remar I will let you burn."
Therean's eyes burned as his tirade went unheeded. Gesturing to Knithawk as he blinked away, he spat at the armoured blood elf, "You disgust me, beastslave. Couldn't cut it in Silvermoon so you came to serve these drivelling monsters?" Therean bucked and kicked at the guardian, "Unhand me!"

Re: Cult hunting
Nika moved away from Bryii and her guardian as the questioning of Therean began. She gave Knithawk a wan little smile when he made his appearance. But when Therean began shouting, she glanced quickly over.. giving him an incredulous look as he began to rant and rave.
Thinking it best to remain completely out of it, she moved back to Ashenfury's side as he mulled over the directions to the prison she had just given him. Technically, she wasn't even allowed to be in the guild hall in the first place. She wasn't about to lay a hand on a member of the Grim, and risk fueling Abric's ire. After watching the conflict for a moment, she glanced back up at Ashenfury. "Can I go with you? I can lead you to where she's at, and pick the lock of the cell door if we can't find the key."

Re: Cult hunting
Bryii listened to every word the Adherent had to say. Seeing Therean in such a state of madness was odd, Bryii knew if she had let him go he might become hostile, and she is not really the type to go hand to hand combat. With the spit sliding down her armor she wiped it off silently. The room went very quiet and cold for a moment, an unsettling aura filled the room. From all if Thereans insults and threats some did impact Bryii, but of course she would not show or tell others.
" Listen to me carefully I will gladly help anyone in a time of need, but insulting me, the horde and especially the mandate was an unwise decision. I am going to give you time to rest and we will speak again civically." Bryii pointed her hand towards Therean's body. " Time to sleep Adherent". Blasting a shock of light in his body causing him to go into a non serious body shut down making the elf fall unconscious. Bryii sighed and motioned to her Guardian to bring him to a room to sleep in and be locked up. Bryii had to clear her mind and find out some answers.

Re: Cult hunting
Kailei stirred from her sleep from all the commotion, and she rose wearily sliding her mace through the loop on her belt and retrieving her shield from the floor. She muttered a bit about disturbances, and then looked around for a missing boot. "What the fel?" She muttered and stomped about the room until she found the boot by the table where her journal lay on the floor. "Must've been one of the pups again..."
Shaking her head she went out into the main hall where Bryii, Ashenfury, Knithawk and Nika were...with the now unconcious Therean.
"I should just quit sleeping...seems I miss too much."

-First and foremost, is always, for the Horde.
Re: Cult hunting
Ashenfury felt the gentle vibrations of his hearthstone gripped in his hand. He replied to Knithawk in an urgent tone, "I'm just outside the door Rottbrain. We're about to leave. Leyujin is on the front lines. I can send a wolf, hopefully he will know to follow it.". Ashenfury did not feel safe using the hearthstone to communicate with Leyujin. Without knowing who or what had captured Nyali there was no telling who could be listening.
A slim female wolf bounds to Ashenfury gracefully. Her snout looked much longer than the others and her eyes closer together. Ashenfury bent down and locked eyes with the wolf, noses pointing to one another. The wolf blinks and then darts off into the darkness.
"Let's go."

Re: Cult hunting
Leyujin swings his heavy axe into the skull of another druid as a legion of Grim and other horde rush past him. Even in the deafening clatter of steel and anguish on the battlefield he could hear a loud barking. After wiping the remnants of what was once a brain from his face he turns around and notices a slender wolf on the field of battle looking frantic and barking at him wildly.
Re: Cult hunting
Nika watched curiously as Ashenfury communicated his signal to the slender wolf. Her eyes remained on the two of them as she absently checked her pack. A vial of toxin was applied to the blade of the small dagger she carried, though likely it wouldn't be used. She checked to make sure that her sap was secured to her belt, then pulled out the small contraption that assembled her flying machine. Swinging a leg up onto the vehicle, she gave it a crank, causing it to sputter to life. It hovered a couple of feet off the ground and she waited for the others who were accompanying them to assemble. Once everyone was together, she'd lead the way to the swampy marshlands of Dustwallow, and the isolated island where Nyali was held captive.
