(IC) What name or title do you go by?
-My name is Volkain.
(IC) What is your gender and race?
- I am a Death Knight. I am more closely related to the forsaken, as being dead isn't a characteristic I would use to describe an orc.
My gender doesn't matter but for those who would care I am male.
(IC) What is your class in life? Why did you choose to follow this class?
- My class in life? I don't know if you're being sarcastic. Well, the body is definitely borrowed from an Orc warrior. My soul was borrowed from a warlock. The poor thing.
You see, we are called "Death-Knights". In my eyes, it's almost slang. We're simply abominations with motives nobody seems to agree with. But if you insist, you don't really choose to be a Death Knight. It simply happens.
(IC) How many "Honorable" Kills do the Battlemasters currently have recorded for you?
-I stopped putting tallies on my blade when I ran out of room. I couldn't honestly tell you either as I haven't reported to a battle master in years.
(IC) What drives you in life? How would the Grim benefit from having you among its ranks?
- What drives me in life. This is a good question. I'll have to think long and hard about this one. The thrill of the hunt? Slaying mages? Finding a purpose other than slaughter. These would all be good answers. I would tell you finding a home, but home is simply a state of mind. Finding home is difficult without a sense of morality.
I promise however that you wouldn't mind having an excellent soldier a midst your ranks. My allies are protected through a series of rotting corpses. Digging their way out however is none of my concern.
(IC) What did you do prior to The Grim?
- Which one of me? The warlock? The warrior? I can promise you that both of them before meeting the Grim promptly died and were used as vellums and components for the sole purpose of creating an abomination for the horde.
Me however? I simply sat around waiting to be slaughtered and brought to life inside and outside of these two.
Though I must say I can't recall much after being shoved into a coffin and sent out to sea. I mean of course, we wither without arcane magic you see. We kill mages, almost for ourselves. Without them there is no us, or what few of us that remain. And without us, mages wouldn't truly be afraid of well, anything.
Thank you for dragging me out of that coffin I greatly appreciate it.
(IC) What are your thoughts of the new direction the Horde has taken since the Cataclysm?
-Since the cataclysm? See I just recently woke up you'll have to refresh me.
The horde sitting around however is an issue that needs to be addressed. Directly.
(OOC) The Grim is a role-playing guild that requires full immersion (heavy RP) of their members. What does that mean to you?
-That means to me that I can enjoy a character concept not only to myself but with others around me. A truly well written character concept is always something that I can appreciate from someone else.
(OOC) The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild, ruled by a structure with the intent to see the complete annihilation of their enemies. Does this definition conflict with how you want to play your character? If it does, how do you expect to handle the conflict with other members?
-This definition by no means conflicts any way shape or form how I would play or want to play character. To be honest I wouldn't have it any other way.
(OOC) What sort of role-playing experience do you have, online or off-line? Do you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
-God bless his soul wherever he is. I have a plethora of experience in role playing. Everthign from wizards of the coast to white wolf I'm sure I've done it all if it was worth playing.
Simply because this question was asked, I'll give you a related joke.
Guy In a business suit picks up a phone and makes a call to the grim reaper and he picks up. Reaper where have you been all week these lines are filling up and I have no one else to take care of them!
Reaper: Well boss, you know how everyone gets to play a game for their soul?
Boss: yeah?
Reaper: Well you see, oh dear god he just added another paladin to his party.
(OOC) Is this character a server-transfer or has it been renamed recently? If so, what was your previous server and/or in-game name?
-This character is a server transfer I left looking from Venture Co. looking for an rp pvp guild which you could not find on venture co, even though it IS indeed an rp pvp server. His name hasn't changed.
(OOC) What are you, the player, looking for in the Grim? What are your expectations of the guild?
- Normally, I do not apply for guilds. As standard i have found it to be an elitist attitude in my experiences with others. But this guild from everything I had read and saw I was far more than willing to make an exception. I haven't seen a guild this organized and well thought out in years. My expectations from this guild is to find good friends to pvp and rp with which I highly doubt I will have trouble doing so.
(OOC) When joining the Grim, each new applicant will be matched up with someone to help them get into the swing of being Grim. In order to coordinate this, we will need to have a fair approximation of your play schedule. Please give a general outline below, OR if you wish to keep it private, send a PM to Thalevia.
-To be honest you will see me on in swings. You'll log on do your business log off go to bed wake up and I'll be on still. I'm a horrible Insomniac and so on about day 2 is when I crash out when I'm not working. Otherwise I'll log on at around 6-10 then log off at about 6PM.
(OOC) Please provide an armory link to your character for verification.
