Sizzle's Second Task

The next task Ashenfury had assigned to Sizzlespark was to venture into the Outland dungeons with at least two other Grim, for a total of five times.

Her first forray had been in the company of Ashenfury and Knithawk, where they defeated many beasts within Hellfire Peninsula.



Her difficulty in communicating slowed down her progress for a time, and she was not able to find any to accompany her for another trip. After some time had passed by, Ashenfury granted her permission to join The Grim in their patrols against the Alliance into enemy territory, which she gladly accepted.

Her second excursion was alongside her fellow Grim as they traveled through Kalimdor, extinguishing the Flames of the Alliance and desecrating their fires.





And last night, she found herself fighting at the side of many Grim and their allies as they fought back the Alliance within Tol Barad Peninsula.






She enjoyed this trip most of all, and eagerly looked forward to her final two patrols that will complete her task in the coming weeks.

Early in the evening, a few Grim gathered to join Ashenfury in the mandate march, before their patrol of Tol Barad.



Sizzle's second patrol of Tol Barad proved to be a much greater challenge than the first. Although they were sorely outnumbered, Sizzle fought as hard as she was able along side her fellow Grim.



With the numbers stacked so steeply against them, she eventually tried a different tactic. Sneaking down to the river, she circled around to approach the group from behind, and caught one of their healers by surprise.



The patrol began to disband early this night. Out of the group, only Sizzle and Rupp stayed behind for another 20 minutes or so, and continued the battle.




Despite the disadvantage, Sizzle enjoyed the challenge and was already looking forward to next week's patrol- which will also serve as the fifth and final part to her current task.

For the week leading up to Sizzlespark's final patrol of Tol Barad with The Grim, she did nothing but train. For three weeks in a row she had joined the rest of the guild as they fought back the Alliance forces on the Peninsula, despite being much less seasoned in fighting as the others. On her first run, she had only reached her 75th season. But she had worked hard to advance herself before the following patrol, and was able to reach her 77th.

The third patrol marked the final requirement for her current task, and so she trained and studied harder than ever. The portal masters had deemed her ready to fight in Mount Hyjal, and she spent every free moment available to her training in battle as well as collecting better armor and weapons. With only an hour before it was time to gather for the patrol on Tol Barad, her trainer granted her advancement to her 81st season.

The patrol of the Peninsula was much better, this week. Their numbers had grown as they were joined by many members of Dragonhawk Brigade, along with the troll, Zob'jun Rupp.



The Alliance forces were strong and also provided a steep challenge. But it was one that she was much more prepared to meet, but physically and mentally.

When she was able to fight, she fought. And when she wasn't, she pulled back and used every engineering trick and gadget available to her- assaulting the frontline with a barrage of rockets, bombs.. and at times, using her more advanced toys to gain control of their minds and bodies and forcibly drag them away from the safety of their group and within range of her own.



By the end of the night, she was spent but satisfied. This patrol marked the completion of the second task assigned to her by Inquisitor Ashenfury. She would not be quite ready to join the following week's patrol of the Firelands. But soon.. in the meantime, she would continue to buckle down and finish her training while awaiting her next task.
