(IC) What name or title do you go by?
I am known as the Baroness Nastina Witchoil, third heir apparent to the Witchoil Family Fortune.
(IC) What is your gender and race?
I am a goblin of the feminine persuasion.
(IC) What is your class in life? Why did you choose to follow this class?
I would consider my class quite well above the middle quality hooligans and rabble that fill most of our city streets. Oh, excuse me- I appear to be in error- I see to what you refer now. I am a trained warrioress of the shield bearing variety. When the glory of the battle horn can be heard, you will most assuredly be able to locate me at the head of the battle, leading the charge and (most usually) in a superior fashion to any you have witnessed before me.
(IC) How would you describe yourself?
Humble to the core, of course. I never allow my superior upbringing, riches, fortunes, pedigree family bloodline, connections with the higher ups or superior intellect to affect how I look down on those around me. I also am (and shall always be, to those deemed worthy), a loyal and fierce warrior in possession of a most cunning nature- few that have crossed me live to tell the tale.
(IC) How many "Honorable" Kills do the Battlemasters currently have recorded for you?
My dear, it is more interesting to inquire as to how many of my murders have escaped prosecution or record of any nature, the answer to which lies (and shall continue to lie solely), in my own head.
(IC) What drives you in life? How would the Grim benefit from having you among its ranks?
Should I be permitted entry within your ranks, I shall bring a mighty axe to your cause. You will not find a more cunning, dependable and deadly ally than myself. Your organization may also benefit from my family's trade routes and discounts, should the need for such services arise. As for what motivates me, that is another question altogether. For the moment, rebuilding a name and fortune in the new world for myself and my sister shall occupy most of my focus, though my desires shall grow in time here as I become more accustomed to my surroundings.
(IC) What did you do prior to The Grim?
As mentioned, I am the Baroness Nastina Witchoil, and I spent most of my time doing superior and important things as you would imagine a baroness would do, performing upper functionary duties and the like. While most of my time was occupied enjoying the riches of my family's spoils, the other half was spent earning those same riches. I was headmistress overseer of the Witchoil Khorium mines for nearly two decades, and my "ship" (as it were) ran flawlessly on the second. My tenure as overseer saw the largest increase in raw materials collected to date, and I would still be at the helm to this day if it were not for an unfortunate accident involving a few handfuls of mining servants who suddenly starved to death under my watch. I assure you they only starved themselves in order to paint a false picture of me, not through any sort of real malnutrition- they only did it to inconvenience me. There was without a doubt adequate slop served to them at least once a month or two that surely was sufficient to keep them scuttling about.
(IC) What are your thoughts on the pact between the Alliance and the Warchief Thrall?
As my sister always says... War is good for business.
(OOC) The Grim is a role-playing guild that requires full immersion (heavy RP) of their members. What does that mean to you?
This means a lot to me actually as I have been a role player for many years and have always tried to inspire role playing in every game I take part in. I started role playing years ago in table top games such as D&D, etc., and moved into the online arena with games like Neverwinter nights and others like it. I have been role playing on WOW pretty much since it was released, and have been a part of (and served as an officer in) several large RP guilds over the years. I am always "in character" at all times, and love to create and host rp events for the community.
(OOC) The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild, ruled by structure and a defined chain of command with the intent to see the complete annihilation of their enemies. How does your character's personality and storyline follow the Grim Mandate? Is there any conflict between how you want to play your character and the theme of the Grim? If so, what do you expect out of joining us?
It's a perfect fit for my character, really. Nastina is sort of the epitome of a snob, and will always strive to appear more fortunate and famous than what she is, eager to place those she sees as lesser under her to serve and support her. She takes pride in her ailing family's supposed "fortune's", and brags at their power at any chance she gets. Further, she would like to see nothing more than her and her cohorts (ie: her guild) to defeat and enslave all of their enemies, resting on riches as she oversees the slavery of millions.
(OOC) What sort of role-playing experience do you have, online or off-line? Do you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
I don't know what a "Gary Gygax" is (lol), but I have a ton of RP experience as stated above. I have been a high ranking RP/Lore officer in a few large RP guilds, and RP is my favorite aspect of the game.
(OOC) Do you have any previous WoW experience? (PvP, Raiding, Battlegrounds, Different Servers, Different Guilds, Different Factions, etc.)
Absolutely. I've raided through most of the content from Vanilla up through the LK (sadly, I wandered from my previous guild once we were positioned to kill him), and am always on time, flasked, gemmed, knowledgeable on the fights and ready to go for any raid I sign up for. I have a lot of PVP experience as well both in arenas and BG's, and was part of a few fairly ranked arena teams last season. There is always more to learn, but I would defintely consider myself a seasoned player that would make a useful addition to any raid or pvp team.
(OOC) Is this character a server-transfer or has it been renamed recently?
The character I am applying to the Grim with is not on the server, but will be transferred over and faction changed within the week. The character is now a gnome on Moonguard, but will be a goblin named Nastina the night Cata goes live. I have been on the Emerald Dream since the server launched, and was in my previous guild for quite awhile. The rp in the guild has went to the wayside in my opinion, and the guild's interest seems to have grown in a direction that isn't gelling with me. I started wandering factions and servers in search of a new place to call home a few weeks back, and came across The Grim (I remember the name from years ago), which really sounds like a perfect fit. (*NOTE: Due to this toon not being on the server, I can provide a few references from my previous guild if needed to validate my identity and history, etc.- just mail me a PM on the site if they are required).
(OOC) Is this an alt of a current full Grim member? If so, what full member?
No.
(OOC) What are you, the player, looking for in the Grim? What are your expectations of the guild?
I'm looking for an immersive rp environment where I can act out my character. I'm looking for an IC guild that has rules, guidelines and focus and can be competitive in raiding and/or pvp. I'm also looking for a group of mature, fun and respectful RP'ers to just play the game and with, see the content and (hopefully) create and attend events for and with.
(OOC) When joining the Grim, each new applicant will be matched up with someone to help them get into the swing of being Grim. In order to coordinate this, we will need to have a fair approximation of your play schedule. Please give a general outline below, OR if you wish to keep it private, send a PM to Xondor.
My play time changes from time to time, but I am typically on in the evenings and late night. Obviously I would make it a priority to be on for raids and guild events at whatever time as well.
(OOC) Please provide an armory link to your character for verification.

(IC/OOC) Do you have anything further to add?
Nothing beyond the fact that I am excited to be considered for membership. The things I am reading on the website are exciting to read as they seem to be perfectly in line with the way I like to play the game. I appreciate the consideration and agree that "Peace through Annihilation" is the only way to go (lol).
