In essence, for people who are getting Starcraft, kiss chat rooms and worldwide play good-bye. This really pisses me off as the chat rooms don't cost much at all, and the worldwide play restrictions will be very frustrating as I know many West-coasters whom I'll probably not get to play with now. The battle.net system is actually worse than the previous version. Also, having to be Real ID friends with people to play with them? Not for everyone I meet. I'm not overly sesnsetive about people knowing my basics, I think, but just because I want to play with the expert cannon rusher I met one match in the next doesn't put me in the comfort zone of divulging that information.
Unfortunately, RUSE doesn't come out for a while now, and I do need another RTS as AOE III has become boring as sin. SC2 it is.

Battle.net Debuff
Here lies a toppled god;
his fall was not a small one.
We did but build his pedestal -
a narrow and a tall one.

Re: Battle.net Debuff
@Blood - only with battle.net hosted games. There is no local server option. If you are off the internet it is solo only. Multiplayer is only on official servers.

Methinks a certain company has forgotten what made their games popular in the first place.Bloodscream wrote: Hang on a sec, did I read that right? No LAN play? As in no local network games...as in no netfest?!?
