I noticed tonight that a good portion of the Pilgrim achievements require cooking, and Erzsebet's cooking skill was a whopping 15. However Blizz gave us a nice little present with these quests for the Pilgrim achievement.

Buy the cooking book - it will give you five recipes. Then you simply buy enough mats for each recipe times 60 (roughly, double-check the numbers; also, you will need to go to Org and TB (start in UC) for additional mats). Each recipe will go yellow 10 skill prior to the next recipe, but you can get all the way to 300 easily and they have a cooking trainer standing right there with the quest givers to help out (caps at 300). You can supposedly 330 or so with the turkey one, but with the 280+ recipe you need turkey and I swiped 20 from Anaie, which capped me at 300 anyway.

After that it's just 50 skill points in Outland and you'll be cooking in Northrend in no time!

Also - if you're going for The Turkinator achievement (40 turkeys within 30 seconds of each other), I found an amazing macro and Anaie found a great spot to find turkeys.

/target [nodead] Wild Turkey

/cast [nodead] Shadow Word: Death

Replace the SW:D with whatever instant you may have (or auto-attack). And the area south of Scarlet Monastery seems to be the best spot to find an abundant amount of turkeys. Having a spotter helps too (had Anaie and a random person kindly running around spotting for me).

I was able to get to 350 on my dk, so this event lets you completely skip leveling up to Northrend. At 350, you can start doing the cooking dailies as well.

How about pumpkin pie? While my personal cooking still is far from 450, I've been baking pumpkin pie since Cooking (1). Making two tomorrow in fact, and pumpkin bread in about 15 mins.

Also, for trying to get turkinator, I highly recommend having your friendly neighborhood northrend cook whip up some tracker snacks for you. Or just be a hunter. Either way, tracking them on the map makes that achievement a breeze.
