(IC) What name or title do you go by?
I answer readily to 'Fox', however, my given name is Sìonn Dawnstorm.

(IC) What is your gender and race?
I am a male elf.

(IC) What is your class in life?  Why did you choose to follow this class?
I specialize in hand-to-hand combat, and utilize poisons and my enemy's weaknesses to my advantage. There never seemed to be a question about it; I grew into this path as naturally as I breathe.

(IC) How would you describe yourself?
I'm not as young as I used to be. But time has given me knowledge, and sharpened my reactions. I would describe myself as swift, intelligent, and dangerous. Much like my namesake, the fox.

(IC) How many "Honorable" Kills do the Battlemasters currently have recorded for you?
I have only recently submitted my name to the official counts. At the time of writing this, my tally is a modest 3,094.

(IC) What drives you in life?  How would the Grim benefit from having you among its ranks?
I want to sharpen my abilities. I want uncover all of the potential I know I hold within me. I feel that I've been touched by the current political state of the world, and this seems the most logical path to take to ensure the brightest future.

(IC) What did you do prior to The Grim?
Prior to this application, I've been a blade-for-hire, a body guard, a thief and a teacher.

(IC) What are your thoughts on the pact between the Alliance and the Warchief Thrall?
The pact is laughable at best and a charade at worst. Recent events show the lines thinning and the veneer cracking. It's only a matter of time before the Horde sees the wisdom in the Mandate.

(OOC) The Grim is a role-playing guild that requires full immersion (heavy RP) of their members.  What does that mean to you?
It means exactly what it says. IC at all times, in all channels save those specified as OOC. It means to strive to RP in the world, and entice others to join in the RP. This is well in line with my current personal crusade of bringing public RP to the forefront on Twisting Nether (see also: my City of the Day thread on TNG).

(OOC) The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild, ruled by structure and a defined chain of command with the intent to see the complete annihilation of their enemies.  How does your character's personality and storyline follow the Grim Mandate?  Is there any conflict between how you want to play your character and the theme of the Grim?  If so, what do you expect out of joining us?
-When discussing my general plot for Sìonn, a friend suggested The Grim when I brought up the topic of what guild best suited Sìonn. I’ve come here to see if there is interest in more RP.
-The Grim's Mandate and history are what set it apart from the competition and made it the most logical choice.
-I fully understand the concept of IC Actions = IC Consequences.
-Sìonn’s RP suits the Grim better than my previous Grim character.

(OOC) What sort of role-playing experience do you have, online or off-line?  Do you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
One decade of experience with online RP. And now I feel old, thanks. >: I am a paragraph RPer, but I adapt to the situation around me as needed, as I’m sure some of you will remember. I prefer to be active while RPing, as opposed to sedate.

(OOC) Do you have any previous WoW experience?  (PvP, Raiding, Battlegrounds, Different Servers, Different Guilds, Different Factions, etc.)
I do. I was a member of The Grim for approximately 16 months on Alphaeus (the count may be a bit off), and unfortunately, the guild was not a perfect fit for the character. I am no longer on speaking terms with the girl who's gkick caused me to leave, so I feel that old drama may die peacefully.
My past experiences with WoW on other characters include , which belonged to Aquizit. I joined on my main after that guild disbanded. After leaving , I broadened my horizons and am currently a member of (on Alphaeus) and (on Rhysian).
My raiding experience over my various characters for Wrath includes ranged DPSing, healing, and/or tanking Ulduar10 clear with some hard modes and speed kills, Ulduar25 with one of four keepers down, and ToC10, up to one-shot downing the twins, speed kill achievement on first visit. All pre-Ulduar content cleared. I have yet to attend raid content as melee DPS.
My main interest for Sìonn, however, is RP followed by PvP. PvE interests are tertiary and subject to my availability. Sìonn is my 5th level 80 character, and I already have three days of the week allotted to raiding with my other characters, though time compromises can be made in the future. (Time being an important resource, I like to keep my schedule sorted between RL commitments and online activities).
Sìonn was in the guild on a purely OOC basis, as that's the guild he was in when he was Alphäeus. ICly speaking, he has not been a member of any known organizations.

(OOC) Is this character a server-transfer or has it been renamed recently?
When this character was first rolled, he was Alphäeus. However, a while ago, I purchased a name-change (because it was cheaper than a recustomization), and he is now a completely different character.

(OOC)  What are you, the player, looking for in the Grim? What are your expectations of the guild?
I'm looking for RP, and expect to find RP. If I find no RP, I will make it.

(OOC)  When joining the Grim, each new applicant will be matched up with someone to help them get into the swing of being Grim.  In order to coordinate this, we will need to have a fair approximation of your play schedule.  Please give a general outline below, OR if you wish to keep it private, send a PM to Lascivious.
Availability is based around my classes and raiding on other characters, as well as my mood.  I am fairly easy to track down, as I have a tendency to use WoW as an instant messenger while I'm working and will likely be idling on one of my characters and receptive to whispers.
In general, of late, it seems that I play Sìonn pre-4pm server, and post -11 pm server.  I make an effort to get on Sìonn for Wintergrasp when possible.

I had a minor concern that being the player of a former Grim character would be an issue with applying on my new character, so I spoke with Aquizit about it briefly before submitting my application.
