re: your point about Anduin Wrynn: I think that's what has me most excited about all this information. If the storylines can actually go forward, that would just be awesome. That dwarven princess can finally have that damn baby she conceived with the dark iron dude (that's a four year pregnancy, yo! OUCH!), if the Wailing Caverns DO become a lush oasis, hell yeah!, if all those little things that have stayed as loose strings can start to get a bit tied up--well I'm all for it, even if it means I have to put up with silly stuff like tauren paladins.

My guess is that Saurfang goes down in a Cinematic involving his reanimated son.

Kelven wrote:Jaina would be a good candidate for Guardian, but she likely dies in Icecrown.  Maybe it'll go to Rhonin, because clearly we don't hate him enough already.  But yeah, I wonder what scares Dalaran so much they decide it's time for a new Guardian...
I don't think Jaina will die in Icecrown; they've done a lot of intimations of a relationship, or the possibility of a relationship between Jaina and Thrall. Guardianship wouldn't be a problem, because if I recall correctly, Medivh's mother was a Guardian. So obviously you don't have to be celibate.

It seems pretty clear that the two sides are almost fracturing along two fault lines; the Horde and Alliance who can stand each other, and the Horde who hate the Alliance and the Alliance who hate the Horde. Thrall and Jaina being alive keeps the possibility for a future reconciliation, while Varian and Garrosh allow the present to be bloodshed and total war.

And unfortunately, I do agree it seems likely that Saurfang will bite it. I'm fairly sure Saurfang is a better warrior than Garrosh, so he'd have to be out of the way for Garrosh to become Warchief. I can't stand Garrosh, IC or OOC, because even if he seeks to destroy the Alliance, it's clear he hasn't learned from any of the mistakes of the past. Leyujin sees him as leading the Horde down a doomed path.

Also, he's a little punk who went from blubbering and crying to his mother, to an arrogant asshat who thinks himself my better. DOOM!

Yeah...Saurfang may not agree with Thrall, but he'd put down any punk ass that came by to depose him.  Saurfang doesn't agree with thrall, but he see's right through Garrosh.  Too bad...Saurfang would of rocked as warchief.  More agressive, but with a cool head able to plan out battles instead of throw resources away recklessly.  And I see one very good reason Grim may not approve of Garrosh.  He's an idiot.  We seek to win the war the only way it can be one, annihilation down to the last of every enemy of the horde.  This doesnt mean were into stupid all out assaults.  Most of our leaders have been calm planners, plotters, not hot headed inciters of riots.

The Grim might not approve of Garrosh, but I think we should support him.  Why?  'Cause he could get the rest of the Horde behind our cause.  We can still go about our business the way we always have, but without having to worry about the political repercussions.

That's IC, though.  OOC, I think Garrosh is a whiny little douchebag.  Know who would make a helluva good wartime Horde leader?  Magatha freakin' Grimtotem.

Garrosh: Yes, my actions before were childish, we should fight with the Alliance!

Thrall: I am glad you think that way, I must go, I will make you the war chief to attempt this great dream.

Garrosh: 'Kay.

Thrall: *Makes Garrosh war chief and leaves*

Garrosh: DEATH TO THE HUMANS!

Thrall: God damnit, Garrosh!

If it's anything like W:AR's, color me happy.

Now the last thing they can do for me is give us factional race changes. They can even not let us do it for the new races, but Muatah told me he'd make Lythande into a tauren paladin. True story. ;)

Ok the video for Cataclysm rocked.  Glad to see they made Deadmines and Shadowfang heroic.  DW Cruel Barb v2 now?  I hope the cataclysm destroys Maraudon.  What a craptastic instance that was.  At least Desolace is not a land full of ugly suck anymore.
