Because It's Evident People Are Upset...

Unread post by Esmi »

From my understanding people are taking this break off much too personally.

I didn't split off and start a guild to start OOC drama, that's ridiculous.

Here are the facts:

I AM applying with Kilara when she hits 80, as I have previously stated.

I have nothing against the Grim, I still love you all, and think you all are amazing.  If you think I have a 'weird way of showing it', because of a story I wrote on the forums you need to honestly get back to talking to me, asking me even if not in a civil manner "WTF LILIAN?!?"

Calestras character is highly emotional, and as such says things she doesn't mean out of anger.  The reason this is shown will be revealed in later parts of the story.  If you have an issue or concern with a story that portrays you in any way that I have written take it up with me.  That entire chapter was directly taken out of RP.  I don't force other peoples characters to speak in any fashion.

Xurek likes the guild still, her IN CHARACTER LETTER is completely in character.  She is thankful for everything she got while she was here. Her character feels put out because after months of working for something BIGGER to her than Executioner, she felt she got looked over.

Mordria was kicked out of the guild, and felt hurt by it because she felt she was trying her best to follow, and she felt as if the people who could have made a difference didn't stand up for her.  Her reaction after Nymare kicked her out of the guild while she was offline was understandable, though yes it caused inner Grim drama.

I created this guild for a breath of fresh air, FOR MYSELF AND FRIENDS, if it dies in two months I won't mind.  I had fun designing it, I had fun collaborating with people to come up with an RP story line.  There are new games coming out in the next year/year and a half, and I can't even promise I will be here when Knights of the Old Republic the MMO comes out. (Nom nom Twilik!)  I think Calixo/Calestra is going to head off for Aion, Mordria doesn't really play Mordria, Cyanoco's main is Sylvea and Sylvea is in The Raven Cross.

I have put advertisements for The Grim out into the world of Cyber space, I have talked to people like Syreena and Cristok about my leaving.
The fact that a guild of EVIL HORRIBLE PEOPLE IN CHARACTER, cannot decipher the fact that IC and OOC are not always connected.... I find there is an issue with that.  I have never in my life wanted to carve into someones body, and watch them bleed to death.  Esmi has done such on many occasions.

I shouldn't HAVE to put a disclaimer on something I write telling you how much I <3 you, to inform you that these writings are completely in character. I have on many occasions in less than a week spoken to Grim Members, waved and smiled at Grim members, informed The Grim LEADERS when there will be an attack on certain Cities.

None of us in Void Insurrection HATE The Grim.  Some of us hate OOC politics, some of us dislike certain members. Remember, though, this is a large guild, you have all different personalities, and friction may occur.

No one pissed me off and made me leave.  I don't want to play Esmi as one of the Grim anymore, hell I hardly want to log onto Esmi unless it includes getting more achievements or battlegrounds... or better yet, battle ground achievements!  I approached all the people who had left The Grim and had been good friends of mine, and asked them if they'd create this guild with me.  Hell, we have a member who is still IN THE GRIM, and he respects you more than I could ever write out.

Last but not least: Yes, you will see me on Esmi.  It will be when I am RPing, PvPing or doing Dailies.  Most the time you'll see me on Kilara, as I want to get her to 80.  She just hit 71 today.

Comments in character are not worth getting upset about Out Of Character...

I will Apply when I hit 80.  Hopefully my happy, though evil and blood thirsty, paladin will make it in.

Lily/Esmi

EDIT ALSO:

No, you don't have to treat people like 'special flowers', but giving them some respect is fucking worth while, at least OOCly.

None of us left because we were "emo" none of us left over 'emo drama'.  We left for IC reasons, Xurek left because she follows Esmi.  Cale left 4 weeks before I started the guild.  Mordria left MONTHS ago, and I called her up on the phone and asked her to come back.

If you look at the people within Void Insurrection, we have one thing in common.  We are FRIENDS.  Not all of us were in The Grim.

Also think of this: With a guild as large as The Grim, how many RP'ers HAVEN'T been in it?  A vast majority of the servers RPers have been in The Grim.

A great letter, Esmi, and thank you. Perhaps our reaction is a bit of 85 times bitten, 86 times shy.
