Testament
(IC) What name or title do you go by?
Cythe LeNoir
(IC) What is your gender and race?
Male, blood elf
(IC) What is your class in life? Why did you choose to follow this class?
Templar. Once stood beside Lord Uther in the Order of the Silver Hand. After his death and Dath'Remar being branded a terrorist rebel leading to the banishment of our people from the forests of Kalimdor. My family- later to be founding members of the Silver Circle along with the Sunstrider House as well as a few others, traveled across the Maelstrom to the northern lands of the Eastern Kingdoms. I was there for the razing of our lands as well as the betrayal of our people by Grand Marshal Garithos.. After picking up what little pieces remained under the new leadership of Anasterian's son- Kael'thas and adopting our new name I was later recruited by the Blood Knights due to my previous status in the Order. After being betrayed by our... kind prince and our leader Lady Liadrin breaking off the ties between the Blood Knights and the House of Sunstrider, swearing our new allegiance to the Sha'tar and the Shattered Sun Offensive. I choose to fight for the retribution of my people.
(IC) How would you describe yourself?
Lost, to put it simple. After going through betrayal after betrayal it leaves one wondering who he can actually trust.
(IC) How many "Honorable" Kills do the Battlemasters currently have recorded for you?
Over six thousand dead since the first of this month. 6305 so far to be exact.
(IC) What drives you in life? How would the Grim benefit from having you among its ranks?
My dedication first to knowlege of combat and second to spiritual prowess beyond that of the average priest or monk. After hearing about your order my brother and I decided we would offer the services of two soldiers.
(IC) What did you do prior to The Grim?
After.. trying.. to settle down after all that's happened I've spent my time off the field working with metals, forming them into armor and weapons along with working with precious gems.
(IC) What are your thoughts on the pact between the Alliance and the Warchief Thrall?
Pact between the Alliance and thrall? Hah. If it's anything like the "pact" we elves had with the Alliance before the second things start heating up and conflict approaches they'll all turn-tail and run like cowards. *he angrily mutters about Grand Marshal Garithos*
(OOC) The Grim is a role-playing guild that requires full immersion (heavy RP) of their members. What does that mean to you?
Nothing better than RP mixed with pvp.
(OOC) The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild, ruled by structure and a defined chain of command with the intent to see the complete annihilation of their enemies. How does your character's personality and storyline follow the Grim Mandate? Is there any conflict between how you want to play your character and the theme of the Grim? If so, what do you expect out of joining us?
No conflict of interests here. The guild seems perfect for the role.
(OOC) What sort of role-playing experience do you have, online or off-line? Do you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
I would consider myself decent. Some RP experiences here and there across a few servers.
(OOC) Do you have any previous WoW experience? (PvP, Raiding, Battlegrounds, Different Servers, Different Guilds, Different Factions, etc.)
Full content cleared via Mage. PvP is my favorite aspect- Have successfully PvP'd all classes save for Druid. I've played a few other servers. Emerald Dream, Maelstrom and Burning Blade.
(OOC) Is this character a server-transfer or has it been renamed recently?
Nope.
(OOC) What are you, the player, looking for in the Grim? What are your expectations of the guild?
Good times with RP, PvP, possible raiding and to just meet people.
(OOC) When joining the Grim, each new applicant will be matched up with someone to help them get into the swing of being Grim. In order to coordinate this, we will need to have a fair approximation of your play schedule. Please give a general outline below, OR if you wish to keep it private, send a PM to Nymare.
I can be on anytime needed, just need to know when I'm needed.
(OOC) Please provide an armory link to your character for verification.

(IC/OOC) Do you have anything further to add?
There are no more borders to cross. All that I have in common with the uncontrollable and sick, the wicked and evil... All the grievious things I have
caused and my utter casualness towards it all.
But even after I confess this, there is no catharsis.
My punishment escapes from me furthermore and still I can't gain and deeper understanding about myself. There is no new knowledge that could be
extracted from my telling.
This confession was totally worthless..
But even after I confess this, there is no catharsis.
This confession was totally worthless... Peace through annihilation.

Re: Testament
Nymare looks over the application, her attention and the rest of her body freezing at mention of the Silver Circle... until reading Kael'Thas as being Dath'Remar's son. "I... thought he.. Surely he means Anasterion. Hm."
She leaves a note tacked to this appliaction:
Grim, tell me what you think.
Something more insightful than "he's a blood elf" if you would.
((sending you a PM about some OOC stuff regarding your other character before giving the go-ahead!))

Re: Testament
High Inquisitor,
I am confused. What is his name? Does he not know it himself, or was his application filed under the wrong name by those stupid goblins, or was this his own mistake? The application is filed under the name Testament, but he listed his name as Cythe.

Re: Testament
It asks for the name or title he goes by - this would be Cythe LeNoir, I assume - but Testament is, yes, likely the name the Goblins have him listed as.
-Nymare
((It was something I didn't change from the original application requirements, though maybe I should. I believe the point of the title being your in game name was to allow us a way to armory them. The first question, however, asks for what they go by, which could theoretically be different... as in this case, and in Esmi's, actually. Esmi would be the Subject title, but Athalia Esmira Sunstrider would be the answer to question 1))

Re: Testament
((Poor Athalia... The name was taken when I came to this server... So I went with "Esmi" as in Esminet from the Prince of Nothing series... and so I gave her a middle name...))Nymare wrote: as in this case, and in Esmi's, actually. Re: Testament
(So that is where Esmi comes from. Interesting choice. Good series. Chock full of philosophy though. Not for your average reader.)

Re: Testament
I am highly suspicious of this one's story. Exactly how old does he claim to be? We have never had the kaldorei touch of immortality. Never. But he seeks to invoke Dath'remar and to have crossed the ocean after the Sundering? Perhaps through magic, but we have also never been Guardians. Did he have some sort of treaty with dragons? Maybe he knows Malkaris. The Sunstriders may have had their part of the Well, but they were not party to constructing that abomination of a tree, that abomination that granted the ability to see this day from then. Too close to the Well himself, perhaps.
And not only all of that, but he moved from founding the Sunstrider house to standing with Uther? Really? The Silver Hand? The Silver Hand, all they were, human institution to its very core, is dead, and may all of it rot forgotten. The quel'dorei were never well represented with them for damned good reasons, and those few misguided elves who took that very human path got what they deserved -- death, literal or personal, as expected to be good little Argent puppets.
In Silvermoon for the Second War and in Dalaran for the Third? How convenient. The Second War showed us just how useful the Alliance could be when we had to save ourselves through magic from a Horde, many of whom the Grim now support. The Second War lost Alleria her mind. But he remembers this, does he? And he doesn't see any disconnect? Our place with the Alliance was already degraded in Dalaran. We were already blood elves. Our Well had already been ruined when Garithos dug his grave. Yet this one was a sweet, gentle Silver Knight at the time, was he? No disconnect there, either. Such convenience.
I would have thought the Blood Knights would have had him drawn and quartered for his previous involvement with the Order, rather than welcomed with open arms.
The Silver Hand died with Uther and stays dead, no matter what Tirion's delusions may tell you. Let them remain such, buried in a world that doesn't want them and never needed them.
Damn right, this fool is lost. We may be the shepherds he needs, but we certainly do not need sheep.
Find yourself. Know yourself. Trust no one. There is no one to trust but yourself. No one is innocent. We have been betrayed by all, and we have betrayed them all in turn. Stop apologizing. You are nothing Silver. You are Blood. Demand blood of all of our enemies. Wear theirs for all of those who fight alongside you now. We are not catharsis. We are the end of all of them who stand against us, Alliance and otherwise. Do you have the slightest idea what it takes to be Grim, old knight?

Re: Testament
(http://www.wow.com/2008/10/26/all-the-w ... blood-elf/ < why the high elves were banished and yes Dath was considered a terrorist to them.
I never said Cythe was a founding member of the Sunstrider house. His father was a founding member of the Silver Circle. The high council of silvermoon that was decimated defending the Sunwell. There were infact elves among the silver hand though not as common as the humans and dwarves. He -was- a knight a long time ago. Seems like you're forgetting that elves run thousands of years old. Our alliance fell when Garithos announced that we were no longer part of them because of his roidrage of Kael partnering with the naga to survive the fight when Garithos and his troops abandoned them at the last minute. Thus being the last of his time as a member in the hand due to his new found distrust toward them. Later recruited as a blood knight, his ties to the order are gone. I refered everything to the knights of the silver hand in past-tense. He's a blood knight and even wears the tabard showing so. "Lost" meaning unsure to trust with the string of betrayal as well. Nor was he refering to the grim as catharsis, it was more of a quote of his.)
