(IC) What name or title do you go by?
-My name is Durant Rahl Swordian. I've been called a few titles... The Silver Swordsman, The Silver Noble, and lately I've heard a few utterances in common about a Silver Ogre.
(IC) What is your gender and race?
-Sin'dorei. Male.
(IC) What is your class in life? Why did you choose to follow this class?
-I am an ex-paladin of the Silver Hand. Ex-Blood Knight of Kael'thas. I still carry the title of Blood Knight, I know no other class of training currently.
(IC) How would you describe yourself?
-Determined, Quiet, Respectful.
(IC) What drives you in life? How would the Grim benefit from having you among its ranks?
-I fight the Alliance. The ridicule and disrespect shown to my bretheren is not tolerable and must be avenged with blood and death. I will not stop until there IS no blue banner that represents the Alliance as a whole.
(IC) What did you do prior to The Grim?
-Searching for an organization worthy of my blade. One with similar goals and prejudices. There is only the Horde now.
(IC) What are your thoughts on the pact between the Alliance and the Warchief Thrall?
-Thrall is a fool for vying over peace between our people and theirs. As arrogant and self-righteous as the Alliance are, they would simply wait until the most opportune chance to turn on the Horde would present itself.. And strike. This cannot be allowed to pass.
(OOC) The Grim is a role-playing guild that requires full immersion (heavy RP) of their members. What does that mean to you?
-It means there is no moment of out of character interaction in the gameworld. Everyone is everywhere, and anything can happen at any time. Roleplay is a constant - There should be no out of character speak in any chat window except private messages and pre-defined channels, in my opinion. Of course, the most extreme of circumstances -could- happen where ooc simply had to happen.
(OOC) The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild, ruled by structure and a defined chain of command with the intent to see the complete annihilation of their enemies. How does your character's personality and storyline follow the Grim Mandate? Is there any conflict between how you want to play your character and the theme of the Grim? If so, what do you expect out of you joining?
-I can't see any sort of conflict on the surface, Durant has a dark demeanor shaded by his righteous edge. He shows no mercy for Alliance which is what I see when I look at Grim, fighting for the good of the Horde without a shred of care about the Alliance.
(OOC) What sort of role-playing experience do you have, online or off-line? Do you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
-I've roleplayed three major characters in three different world settings. My first character lasted for six years before the roleplaying community died down, the second lasted four. The third was a character roleplayed on Twisting Nether for over a year now.
(OOC) Do you have any previous WoW experience? (PvP, Raiding, Battlegrounds, Different Servers, Different Guilds, Different Factions, etc.)
-I've played WoW since beta release, leveled several characters and participated in virtually every bit of endgaming WoW has had to offer with the exception of late late end game raiding BC, and no endgame WotLK experience. PvP experience is just as extensive.
(OOC) What are you, the player, looking for in the Grim? What are your expectations of the guild?
-A community where you can be noticed. Defined by your actions. Not some fancy guild where they look down on newcomers and only praise their experienced without giving the lowers a chance to prove themselves. In a way I say family, at least out of character. Our IC personalities are what truly define us all.
(OOC) When joining the Grim, each new applicant will be matched up with someone to help them get into the swing of being Grim. In order to coordinate this, we will need to have a fair approximation of your play schedule. Please give a general outline below, OR send a PM to all (not just one) of the following members: Acherontia, Nymare, Tecunuman
-My playtime is currently very flexible, but it is also very random. It should change once I get a job - which will hopefully be soon. But as of right now my average playtimes will be between 3pm and 3am, but there are several nights where I have offline/other things that I do. I try to make whatever deadlines I can, but things happen.
(IC/OOC) Do you have anything further to add?
-I look forward to meeting all of you.
Peace through Annihilation.
