i just can't stop reading this stuff.  entries are starting to tie together as i follow links around.  in fact there seems to be a overarching story in the background which is starting to appear like a large animal in a mist that you can just barely make out.  i love it!

I'm a huge fan of stuff that perkolates the ol' imagination, and The SCP Foundation sets mine to a high boil. The foundation collects and contains artifacts that pose a threat to humanity, if not the world. Their list of items is quite extensive, and the descriptions therin are a hoot for any fan of science fiction, "Eureka," "The X-Files," and just general mad science. My current favorite is SCP-294, which may remind readers of a certain Nutrimatic Drink Machine. In addition to being pretty clever and entertaining, the site also illustrates how compelling "less is more" can be. Nothing makes me start trying to imagine what [DATA EXPUNGED] means like ██████.
