Grim Application For Ghazra

How did you hear about The Grim? Do you know anyone in The Grim?
-I heard about The Grim in the Ravenholdt-TwistingNether 'horde' channel for General OOC chat between RPers. I don't know anyone in The Grim.

The forums are The Grim’s primary method of communication. Will you check them regularly (at least a few times a week)?
-I can check them either daily or every other day.

Tell us about your roleplaying experience. In WoW? Elsewhere? Do you consider yourself a heavy RPer? What does that mean to you?
-I started Roleplaying Games at 12 with Dungeons and Dragons, my dad introduced me. I migrated from that to Warcraft 3, roleplaying on certain maps, and then to WoW, where I began to seriously roleplay. I've roleplayed on several games since, including Rift, SWTOR, and ArcheAge. I don't consider myself a heavy RPer, largely because to me, Heavy RPer means you are very rarely OOC. I go OOC a lot, though if approached ICly, I'll probably drop into IC unless I'm really busy.

The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild. Do you have any experience playing a character of this alignment or a character archetype that believes in structure with evil intent?
-I have a wealth of experience playing Evil characters, from villainous Paladins of Slaughter in D&D, to diabolical mages and unscrupulous knights. I've played plenty of Evil characters in Good groups, as well, directing their lack of morals to whatever goals they have without running into much conflict with other members of the group.

Have you been part of any other guilds in World of Warcraft? If so, who were they and what server do or did they reside on? Let us know of your experience with them and what made you decide to either leave or continue to stay.
-I've been on several guilds over the years, but most are no longer active, nor do I remember them all. They were from Anub'Arak and Wyrmrest Accord, and I can't recall their names. The experiences were mostly good, with very little drama. I wasn't directly involved with any drama, but I saw some go on. Mostly, I just enjoyed the company and community. I also joined them in raiding, though not much PvP.

Are you applying on an alt (non-main) character? If so, what are you looking for here that you are not getting from your main character? If you are feeling honest or adventurous, please let us know who your main is.
-I'm applying on my main character, but I have a note for the person viewing this: I Appearance Changed this character yesterday, after deciding that I didn't like the character Ghazkuul. Ghazkuul has become Ghazra, a female orc warlock rather than a male one.

What race and class is this character? Why did you choose this race and class?
-Orc Warlock. I chose warlock because I am both a big fan of the lore and 'dark magic' in general. I chose the Orcish race because I had an idea for a descendant of the Shadowmoon clan who's attempting to redeem her clan's lost honour, or perhaps find a new clan to call home.

What are your expectations for your character after joining The Grim? What aspect of the game do you wish to focus on (raids, rated battlegrounds, arenas, challenge modes, achievements, etc.)?
-I don't like to hold expectations for the most part, but currently the plan for my character is to finish all the quest achievements in Draenor, and work on her Garrison and Gear. Eventually, I would love to be raiding, and if possible, Mythic raids would be excellent.

What is your PvE (player-versus-environment) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a raid environment? Do you have any PvE experience from other MMO games?
-My peak activity for PvE was during Wrath of the Lich King, where I raided Naxx, Trial of the Crusader, and Icecrown. The guild I was with brought me into raids after Ulduar was old, so I never went there until recently. I was a Frost Mage or Unholy Death Knight at the time, and I do love Death Knights, but currently I'm in love with my Warlock.

What is your PvP (player-versus-player) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a PvP environment? Do you have any PvP experience in other MMO games?
-My PvP experience with WoW is mostly World PvP and random Battlegrounds. As with PvE, I've been enjoying my Warlock a lot, and plan to play her a lot more. As for other games, for PvP and PvE, I have not much experience beyond general questing and world PvP.

Did you read and understand our guidelines on character names, listed at the beginning of this application? (Please note, if your name does not fall within our guidelines and you do not want to do a name change, you are more than welcome to apply under a different character.)
-Yes, I have read and understand your guidelines. No sentence fragments, no names of characters from other media, and no ASCII characters.

How is your computer performance when playing World of Warcraft? What is your FPS/load times during heavy graphical or high population times? Is your internet connection stable?
-My computer is a recent build, and thus is pretty good for WoW. My FPS runs around 60, and my load times are quick or minimal during all but the worst of traffic. My internet connection is stable most of the time.

Provide an armory link to your character.
-I regret to say, that the Armory refuses to work for me. I'll update this with a link as soon as I can.

What days/times do you typically play this character?
-GMT -6 12:00 pm - 3:00 am, roughly. This fluctuates depending on my sleep schedule, but I'm free almost any time I'm not asleep.

Have you read the Required Reading? Do you have any questions or concerns about anything there?
-I have read it, I have no questions beyond if I can have this account renamed Ghazra to fit my character.

Have you read the Mandate? Do you have any questions or concerns about it? Can your character live by it?
-I have read it, I have no questions about it. And Ghazra can live by it.

Do you have anything further to add?
-As I mentioned earlier, I recently purchased an Appearance Change for the character Ghazkuul. The resulting changes have left me with the character Ghazra, a female orc warlock. Just making it clear that it is Ghazra that I am applying with.

I changed your forum name to Ghazra.

We do interviews during office hours, which is every Monday night. If you can't make tonight because of short notice, that's fine. Check back later this week for December's schedule.
