Hudah delivers a rolled-up scroll

Unread post by Hudah »

(The below is scribed in black ink brush strokes, characters formed all with straight horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines, with no curves. The top of each vertical line is thick, tapering down to a point at the bottom. The left of each horizontal line is also thick, tapering to a point on the right. Following suit each forward slash is thick in the upper left and pointed in the lower right, and each backward slash is thick in the lower left and ends in a point at the upper right. It is delivered to a passing Grim member as a carefully rolled up scroll, its neatness destroyed by various food and drink smudges all over it.)

Grim of the Horde,

There is a great subversive imbalance in thy struggles with the Alliance that has spread even to Pandaria. I doubt I am the first Pandaren to bring this warning, but I am new to this lands and so I feel compelled to impart it to be sure.

The warning is thus: The Alliance has utterly swayed the views of the Pandaren in its favor. Most Pandaren who choose to take sides in the struggles of the rest of the world will surely join the side of the Alliance. This is because all Pandaren are told that Alliance are noble, honorable, just, and wise, without a single fault worth mentioning. Yet, we are told that Horde are ferocious and monstrous, with hardly an admirable trait ever uttered.

Before I left my homeland, I sought mentors to help me understand why we were encouraged to join the Alliance and why we were discouraged from joining the Horde in this manner. All mentors dismissed my words as troublemaking nonsense with no truth to it. I could hardly blame them, I was always a bit contrary and capricious. There was no reason to put any stock in my words.

Clearly something had already wormed its way deeply into the hearts and minds of my people. I could only be free of it by not taking the obvious choice, and instead joining the Horde. I find that the Horde also wishes just that, to live free.

I would seek to have a new family who will eradicate the taint that has befuddled my entire race, that taint being the Alliance. I have heard the Grim stands for Peace Through Annihilation, and does not sit idly by to wait until they are destroyed or assimilated. I would choose to enter the Grim's ranks so that I may join the struggle for freedom, and thereby liberate my fellow confused Pandaren as well.

Please deliver this warning and request to join the Grim's ranks to an appropriate Grim officer, along with my utmost respect and regards,
(all taper orientation reversed to thick bottom and pointed top,
and so forth, in the name signing below)
