What does it mean to be Grim... that is like askin what does it mean to be alive. Then again, I suppose I am not really "alive" am I no final death just yet...? ... *drip stain* Sorry about that... this thing keeps poppin' out of my mouth to tell me what it wants me to write. Don' be worryin' yerself about it though. I am in complete control mmhmm yes I am... these be all my no mine! words . In fact... *more dripping stains* There, all put away snug in me pocket, safe an' sound.
Where was I... oh yes. To be Grim. It means you are part of something larger than yerself. A tight knit crew that alone will die but together can tame any foe, be that foe the "Alliance", the Scourge, a dragon or elemental... or even a demonic eye that has an irresistible flavor... One moment... I gotta get this urge outta my head.
*a round scorch mark is on the paper here* Well damn it! I hate when I forget to put on my gloves before I get this sucker... it runs a bit hot, but it burns away the aftertaste of the other one nicely. Besides I think this bird I tamed kinda have tamed likes it... nothing wrong with bribing a creature to get it to serve you. Violence can only get one so far along the road of a relationship you know. But it does make for one fun journey!
As I was saying... to be Grim means you are part of a like minded unit. A family if you will. Some are actually family while others, well, you would rather sheath your blade in that hole they call a mouth. But you don't... why? You can't kill family, unless they deserve it... but I digress. You shouldn't kill family. Disregard that last bit, I ain't writing you a new message. Point is, you don't gotta like em all, but as long as they are part of the crew and not workin against the motivations and philosophies of the Mandate, you gotta work with em. And work with em all you will, one of them may be responsible for savin your life one day and they won't think anything of it.
Anyways, just remember... Peace through annihilation! Long as you remember that, you really can't go wrong. The greatest threat to the Grim, is the Grim. Only from within can we be broken, no other force is strong enough. Good ting is, myself an a whole lotta others will put someone six feet under before we let that happen.
