- Leyu works fo most nowadays, ah be tinkin. But ba introduction, ah be Leyu'jin Zeysoga.
(IC) What is your gender and race?
- Male, mon. opefully dat be clear. Skymane Troll.
(IC) What is your class in life? Why did you choose to follow this class?
- Ba da grace o da Loa an da decree o Shango, ma first an foremost path be dat o da warriah. Ah mey not be da wisest, but ah be no fool. When da Gods sez "Jump!", ah asks "How high?"
(IC) How would you describe yourself?
- Hah! Ah'd hafta tink aboot dat un. Mmm... ah be one who once be verra proud, but who as learned da ard way wat ma limits be. Now, ah seek ta do wat ah kin ta make dis world a bettah place, ta safeguard ma people, an ta protect ma adopted kin. Ah ain't gonna
do da humble act all da time tho... if ya git up in ma grill, joo betta believe joo'll be meetin' ma tusks! Sum tings jus donna change.
(IC) What drives you in life? How would the Grim benefit from having you among its ranks?
- Ah not be content wit doin noting. Der be a whole lotta shit goin down all da time, an ah plan ta reduce dat, day ba day, till ma life's breath runs out. (IC) What are your thoughts on the pact between the Alliance and the Warchief Thrall?
- Dat orc got a gud head on 'is shouldahs, an ah kin see da wisdom in dis pursuit o 'is. But der be too much fire an too much fuel righ now. Dis war'll git worse befo it gits bettah.
(OOC) The Grim is a role-playing guild that requires full immersion (heavy RP) of their members. What does that mean to you?
- I always, always roleplay when there's other rpers about, unless there's a mutual concensus that we should be OOC if we're grouping with the gibberings. Full immersion means talking and acting as if you're living your character. That's the best part of WoW, in my eyes, so I pursue it as much as I can.
(OOC) The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild, ruled by structure and a defined chain of command with the intent to see the complete annihilation of their enemies. How does your character's personality and storyline follow the Grim Mandate? Is there any conflict between how you want to play your character and the theme of the Grim? If so, what do you expect out of you joining?
- Leyu'jin's old personality would've been perfect; his new one, less so. However, Leyu is still a stalwart Horde loyalist, willing to defend his friends first and foremost, and many of these reside in the Grim. He wants change in the ongoing war, so he's willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that. The conflict is now he isn't sure some of the Grim's methods will accomplish that. I expect he'll be more argumentative, but he doesn't have any qualms about getting his hands dirty. I expect to have interesting times.
(OOC) What sort of role-playing experience do you have, online or off-line? Do you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
- I played some very short, pretty much failed P&P rpgs in high school (who hasn't?), dming the most successful campaign of our group (I think it lasted... two or three weeks). I played in an online text sci-fi rpg, and have roleplayed in WoW for about a year and a half. I'm an average roleplayer.
(OOC) Do you have any previous WoW experience? (PvP, Raiding, Battlegrounds, Different Servers, Different Guilds, Different Factions, etc.)
- Been in WoW since release. Served as a Hunter in a PvP Raiding guild on Warsong. Did Molten Core and Onyxia when they first came out, but besides that I don't have too much raiding experience. I have experience with most aspects of the game, and played two classes extensively. My highest Alliance character is 7, I think.
(OOC) What are you, the player, looking for in the Grim? What are your expectations of the guild?
- Roleplaying in a large guild environment, seeing the storyline evolutions this will inevitably bring, getting involved in either working with or organizing RP PVP, finally playing as a member of a guild I met in my 30s-40s, raiding... occasionally.
(OOC) When joining the Grim, each new applicant will be matched up with someone to help them get into the swing of being Grim. In order to coordinate this, we will need to have a fair approximation of your play schedule. Please give a general outline below, OR send a PM to all (not just one) of the following members: Acherontia, Nymare, Tecunuman
- I'm on the west coast, so I'm two hours before ingame time. I get out of work around 7:30 server time on the weekdays, so except for on the weekends, I only play during the evening/night. I tend to have cycles of playing, so some weeks I'll be on rarely, some weeks, almost every day.
(IC/OOC) Do you have anything further to add?
- The easter party is Saturday, so Sunday is free. Also will be having some four day business/vacation trips late April/Beginning of May.
- "If da Loa decree dat ma path an dat o da Grim intertwine, ah kin safely sey ah hav bin afforded a great honah, indeed."
- Peace Through Annihilation.
