The Massacre of the House of Kai
Zusteakai - February 11, 2006
A long cool breeze swept over the bridge conecting Elder Rise to
the main part of Thunder Bluff. Upon this bridge was a Lonely
Troll. His pet had just run away, and he was faced with the grim
reality that the Crimson Watch was planning an attack on the
House of Kai, more specifically, Zusteakai's Brothers and
Sisters. He began to formulate his own plans. Getting an idea, he
ran off the bridge and back onto the main mesa.
I don't care what happens to me, NOBODY will touch my brothers
and Sisters. I will defend them with my life!
He reached the Bank, asked for his Tabard, then asked Demongate
to preform a ritual of summoning so that he may get to Orgrimaar
faster than normal. He thanked the old orc, then assured him
nothing was wrong. I need to get to the mailbox so that I can
have the decency to leave my brothers some words should I fall.
Zusteakai because running towards a maibox, at the same time
jotting down letters to Dalily, Brother Grim, Sojii, Brakogar,
and all his other brothers and Sisters. As he approached the
maibox, he whistled for his trusty raptor, slipped the letters
into the box, and they were off. Towards the Zeplin Tower they
went. Zusteakai assumed that there were spies amongst him, but
figured he'd sleep anyway.
They'd arived in Undercity by now, only Zusteakai was surrounded
and pinned up against a tree by none other than Morghoul himself.
Several Watchers surounded the remaining space. "Don't worry,
you'll see your family soon enough," half heartedlly assured
morghoul, as he lifted up his fist, then realeased it very
quickly, knocking out Zusteakai. Several hours later, he was tied
to a tree far away in the wetlands. In front of him was his
Family. They were all chained up and secured to the ground.
Trying to pass one off on Morghoul, he spat at him saying, "...so
who are these poor saps?"
Morghoul lifted up an axe and held it above a prisoner troll. The
troll then screamed as the axe fell through her neck.
"DAMN YOU TO F**KING NETHER!" screamed the enraged troll.
"Is that all? You've commited crimes against the Crimson L--
Three of the trolls had begun taunting them.
Morghoul then snapped his fingers and 5 rogues apeared out of no
where. They circled the tree, sticking their daggers into the
troll, just deep enough to draw blood, yet not deep enough to
hurt him. The troll fidgeted, tryign to make his way out of the
ropes. They kept cutting and it began to burn and itch. The troll
finally got his arms loose of the ropes, Morghoul was laughing to
hard to notice, and the rogues were moving to fast to see what
was about to happen. Still though, his abdomen was still tied to
the tree, and he wouldn't get to much room to room. One of the
rogues started to draw blood from his brothers. The troll had had
enough. His eye burned with a crimson red, and he drew his wepons
and cut the rope, in and instant, he'd sprinted past morghoul,
bashing his face with the side of a fire-lit sword, then
continuing on to hack up the rogue. Suddenly, a bolt of frost
shot through the air, missed Zusteakai and hit the rogue.
Another, much larger hi Zusteakai in the face, sending him back a
bit. The rogues jumped on him. Pinning him down.
Moghoul cackled manically at the situation, then in his raspy
voice,"Now, you will watch your family die in a most painful
death. Then, I will kill you myself."
The rogues began walking down the row of trapped Kai's, all bound
to the ground. On of them picked up a troll, took his blade, and
severed the spinal cord in the neck. The struggling troll went
limp and his eyes went dull. Another came up, this time he'd pick
up the last troll lady there, that the hadn't killed of course,
and then whipped her. One of the forsaken whipped at her neck,
the whip went all the way around, and she was brought to her
knees. Zusteakai struggled under the pin, dieing to kill them all
and free his brothers and sisters. The forsaken tightened the
whip as he walked up and stuck his boney foot on her shoulder.
With a snap, her neck went limp, followe by her entire body as
she drew her last breath, she whispered out the words,"Damn you,
Crimson Watch..."
Voices could now be heardnot far away. From one distance, a
Troll's voice was heard, the other, drawven voices. Moughoul
snapped at the mage, "Kill them all! Let's go! I'll deal with
Zusteakai while you kill the rest!"
Morghoul picked up Zusteakai and threw him a ways. The troll
responed well to his freedom, disreguarding Moghoul entirely, and
slicing off the mage's head in one swift motion of his Frost
Enchanted Blade. The near-bleached bone head rolled a ways, and
the body continued to cast flame spells, the trolls started to
get loose, and shoot fireballs back at the mage. The mage fell,
burning in an inferno. All that were left was the rogues,
morghoul, Zusteakai, and three other trolls. Burning corpses
littered the feild. Zusteakai charged at Morghoul, barking at the
others to run away. They refused to do so, and as Zusteakai
slashed and swung at Morghoul with his duel blades, the trolls
ran around casting all sorts of spells that merely annoying
Morghoul. On the other hand, Zusteakai's mad hacking did phase
Morghoul, and wound him quite a bit.
The rogues charged up behind the rest of the troll's
simutaniously, dealing what apeared to be killing blows to all
three of them except one, Maraluzikai. He layed in the grasses,
doing his best to apear dead, and fight for what was left of his
life at the same time. The rogues all ganged up on Zusteakai,
now, he was pinned. Sylvandra, the Prophet-mage came out of the
darkness, and began casting fire balls larger than any Zusteakai
had seen in nearly four years. It was aimed at him, and Zusteakai
took the full fire from it. "Your time will---your time will
come... you bastards." With that, he dropped down to teh ground,
and the voices got louder, so they all ran away, leaving the
feild scared with fires, and dead trolls.
The voices got closer, and just as the dieing Zusteakai was
taking his last breath, he was encircled in tendrils of greenish
magics. Sojii's face apeared over Zusteakai's vision, and his
eyes shifted towards his brother, Maraluziakai. Zusteakai tried
to get up, but grunted and fell back down. "They think.... they
think we're all dead." he pointed towards Maraluziakai, and then
sojii nodded, and left his vision. He then tried with all his
strength to squeze out more words "It was the Crimson Watch..."
Sojii linked a rope from his own raptor to Zusteakai's raptor,
then walked over to Maraluzikai and hoisted him up over his
shoulder. Sojii walked over to his raptor and laid Mara on the
back of the raptor. Sojii walked over to the now passed out Troll
still lieing on the ground. He frowned down at him. His face, his
legs, even his left arm were burned black. The rest of him was
grey with ash, and his hair was a dirty mess, much moreso than
any troll in all the lands. Sojii wasn't sure if there'd ever be
a time when he'd be back to normal. Mara, on the other hand
clearly would be fine. The rogues that had cut him in the neck
missed everything but muscle and fat. He'd heal up fine. What
ever he'd do with Zusteakai, he wasn't sure yet.
The voices of Drawfs could be heard. It go closer and closer.
They finally apeared over the hill just beyond a stream. One
barked orders at the others, but his voice toned down and his
words changed. He had realized there was no threat to him or
anyone else from them. He smiled, looked at Sojii, then began
tapping his foot. The other drawfs laughed at him as he tossed a
skin of ale to Sojii, seeing the injured trolls he had with him,
he walked over, handing Sojii crude bandages and a few more skins
of Ale. Sojii nodded, then saluted him. The laughing from the
other drawfs ceased, and they saluted him back. The other drawf,
the one who'd been so nice looked at their tabards and smiled.
Sojii looked at thier tabards and smiled back.
As the drawfs marched away, Sojii sighed with releif, tasted the
ale, then shreiked, pouring it down Zusteakais thoat and tossing
him over his shoulder. "If it's one thing those drwafs are good
at, it's makin dah strongest ale I've ever tasted in me life." he
whispered as he walked over to Zusteakai's raptor and set him
vertically on his raptor. Sojii then began to take off some of
his heavy armor, and most of Zusteakai's armor. All Zusteakai had
on was his martial shirt, the bloody FWBH tabard, and some red
leather leggings. Sojii tore off Zusteakai's shirt, then took off
his tabard. I swear... Zusteakai needs to lay off the nice
shirts. He just ruins them.... Hrm.... I suppose that we'll have
to head south. The watch is likly hanging around Undercity, and
it'd be stupid to go that way. We'll just have to go south.
Taking out some bandages teh dwarfs had so kindly gave to them,
he wrapped them around Zusteakai's arm and legs. He had several
punctures in his armor, which punctured his skin, even digging
down into his organs. Sojii wrapped the bandages around his half
burned chest and waist.
Zusteakai had little chance of living, even if he did make it
back to the Troll lodges in Orgrimaar, theres no guarentee that
they could save him. All that magic, all the elemental power,
even the ability to regenerate may not be enough for him. His
mind will be scarred too. He'll never be the same. Ever.
Sojii barked commands at the raptors as he pulled the rope,
Zusteakai's raptor came closer. He then pressed hit foot into his
raptor, and yanked on the rope. Both raptors rode for hours,
south.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They'd made it. They were on the ship to ratchet and not a soul
saw them. It was very late at night and there wasn't anyone in
Booty Bay except for the Goblins and other Merchants and
Mercenaries. As the ship set sail, Sojii took one last look back,
then threw up some powder that glistened in the moonlight as it
floated away. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They were in the barrens now, Ratchet to be more specific. They
rode out of Ratchet, so fast the guards barly noticed, and when
they did, The company was already long gone.
I must hurry and get help. I figure if we go in the back entrance
to Orgrimaar we won't attract much attention.
They then passed through the Crossroads at top speed, so fast
that the raptors started to show signs of fatigue, and their
toungs were hanging out of their mouths. Every head in the
Crossroads turned as Sojii barked and screamed at the raptors,
urging them on.
{trollish}I think I might be able to put Zusteakai in a
hibernation, perhaps to better heal himself through regeneration.
It would drastically improve his chances...
They rode over the bridge spaning the river that seperated the
barrens and Durotar, then into Orgrimaar. Yelling at people to
get out of the way, a clear path was made as the two raptors
parted the crowds. They had made it. Everyone was alive, even
Zusteakai, by a dwindling fiber. By now, Maraluzikai was awake,
and conscious. When he heard of what happened to his brothers, he
thanked Sojii and attempted to leave. "No! Mon! Dey can't know
dah de Kai's still be alive! Dey kill da last of ya!"
"Alright. I'll hide in my robes. No one will even know that I'm a
troll."
"Deny everything. No one knows who you are. Paint your face while
your at it."
With that, Mara was gone. Sojii held Zusteakai's weak body in his
arms, walking up the steps of the Lodge. He laid him on the floor
of the highest section of the Lodge. Taking out Zusteakai's
tabard, then all the insignia's of the fallen Kai, he layed them
on Zusteakai's chest. Then he layed his blades on top of that,
crossed. Sojii stepped back, then circled Zusteakai, chanting and
he tossed around powder. He stepped back, his face showing the
anxiety of waiting. Finally, the powder shot up, it all stopped
mid air. Sojii began chanting again, and it began to spin, a
circle, spinning in the air. Beams of Blue and green light shot
down, twirling with the powder. It stabalized, and shrank around
Zusteakai. All was at peace. Sojii decided he'd go pay Grunts to
guard Zusteakai, letting no one without the Tabard or insignia of
Kai veiw him, or proven friends.
Meanwhile, in an abandoned, far away battlefield A kaldorei
warrior lay devoid of all life. His armor is ripped apart, and he
blade is coroded. His hair was white, and his skin silver. A blue
mist passed over the feild, then it flowed like water around the
feild, passing over the bodies. It covered the kaldorei's body.
Finally, his mouth opened up, and he breathed in the mist. Again,
the feild was void of life, and all was quiet.
Suddenly, the Kaldorei's eyes opened.
