Grim Application For Sevris
How did you hear about The Grim? Do you know anyone in The Grim?
- I know several members and attend events on Saelyx often. The Grim is how I was introduced to 'Eclipse' and Borrowed Time.
The forums are The Grim’s primary method of communication. Will you check them regularly (at least a few times a week)?
- I promise to do my best.
Tell us about your roleplaying experience. In WoW? Elsewhere? Do you consider yourself a heavy RPer? What does that mean to you?
- Roleplay is the main reason I play WoW but I have played many text based communities and MMORPGs. I do not make many alts as I prefer extensive and detailed background stories and time spent to develop them.
The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild. Do you have any experience playing a character of this alignment or a character archetype that believes in structure with evil intent?
- I've played a villain or two in my time, yes.
Have you been part of any other guilds in World of Warcraft? If so, who were they and what server do or did they reside on? Let us know of your experience with them and what made you decide to either leave or continue to stay.
- I have a guild on Wyrmrest Accord that developed from a long running storyline, called the Hyab Arani. I was in Desert Rose Confederacy. I have played on many RP guilds on Moon Guard Horde. I have Saelyx in Borrowed Time.
Are you applying on an alt (non-main) character? If so, what are you looking for here that you are not getting from your main character? If you are feeling honest or adventurous, please let us know who your main is.
- This is my only active alt and I do not intend on making more, just looking to play a different sort of character with friends I already know.
What race and class is this character? Why did you choose this race and class?
- Death Knight Blood Elf. I had a living version of him named Sevrin that I played many years ago and since then he has gone from a stubborn noble to a sinister killer.
What are your expectations for your character after joining The Grim? What aspect of the game do you wish to focus on (raids, rated battlegrounds, arenas, challenge modes, achievements, etc.)?
- Glad to assist with conflict ICly and have a good environment for a character like this. I tend to pvp him more often than Pve.
What is your PvE (player-versus-environment) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a raid environment? Do you have any PvE experience from other MMO games?
- Raiding since Vanilla, running groups, tanking, healing and dps. I enjoy all roles but it depends on my mood. I've played other games such as Starwars, UO, Archeage, Dragonage and Guild Wars.
What is your PvP (player-versus-player) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a PvP environment? Do you have any PvP experience in other MMO games?
- Rogue is my favorite to pvp with but I have more experience healing than anything in pvp.
Did you read and understand our guidelines on character names, listed at the beginning of this application? (Please note, if your name does not fall within our guidelines and you do not want to do a name change, you are more than welcome to apply under a different character.)
- Yes.
How is your computer performance when playing World of Warcraft? What is your FPS/load times during heavy graphical or high population times? Is your internet connection stable?
- Stable connection unless it's an off day.

Have you read the Required Reading? Do you have any questions or concerns about anything there?
- I have and my only concern is that I typically use live rp to develop my character further, so I may not have an extensive Letter of Intent until I am giving the opportunity to play Sevris with others more.
Have you read the Mandate? Do you have any questions or concerns about it? Can your character live by it?
- I'm fairly well educated on the Grim's views, IC and OOC, and hope to learn more.

The Letter of Intent exists as a gatekeeper, to ensure that applicants are invested in their character's roleplay as well as their OOC needs. As such, it does not need to be a direct, physical letter sent to the Grim Halls. It does, however, need to exist as a body of roleplay, be it logged in-game, or through story telling.
How ever you choose to go through with that is fine, but we will need some form of character interaction to move forward with your Inquisition.
