No Claptrap Kodos#%T

"Aderleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"

Aderlee's ears perked up. Over the clamor of Warspear, there was no mistaking Lilliana's high pitched yell. He turned to see a massive snowball, roughly the same mass as himself, flying towards him through air.

WHAM

Aderlee falls flat on his face under a huge pile of now. He speaks directly into the dirt, " 'oly shit 'ow did ju even trow dat?"

Lilliana brushes snow off from Aderlee's hair as he stands up, "Magic." She grins.

Aderlee pats himself down and produces a rolled up parchment, sealed with red wax and stamped with the letter 'A'. He hands the slightly damp scroll over, " 'ere. Fah my second trial."

Lilliana had started to lean over to make a small snowball out of the remaining snow that she crushed Aderlee with, but she stops to take the scroll, "You've already written this up?"

Aderlee bobbed his head as Lilliana breaks the seal and unfurls it to read, "Yah. It's ready to be looked at."

((The following is written on a parchment, written in orcish with very short and very neat strokes. The parchment is rolled up and sealed with red wax, stamped with an A))

For my second trial, like many before you, I interviewed a trio to learn how they view the mandate and realize how I fit into our family. Although my trial was delayed and sadly, a few Grim could not be located, I was able to speak to Nathandiel, Lupinum, and Alak'kul; Three very different personalities in our spectrum.

Nathandiel's wisdom tells us that those of us that don't feel welcome at home can find one with the Grim. While some are content to slog forward with their daily grind, others may be falsely blinded with joy. Fewer yet are able to unterstand the mandate, but it provides a home of sorts for those that do.

Lupinum teaches us how our raw fury is proclaimed through the mandate. Those of us that want revenge and feel hatred can be inspired to gain power, proving ourselves to fulfill the mandate. While it may not be the perfect means to an end, it is our path forward to walk.

Alak'kul reminds us that the Grim are strong. The mandate is strong, the members are strong. Alone we are nothing, but together we are powerful. It is only a matter of time until the alliance falls to our might.

We learn that despite we all come from varied beginnings, we stand united under the mandate. How we fit in to best serve the mandate may not be clear until we understand how others fit to serve. Do not be content to stand on the sidelines and cheerlead the mandate. Step forward, do your part when you find it, and bring us peace.

The parchment sat upon the High Inquisitor's desk, mostly burned to a crisp. Khorvis, annoyed with himself, fondled the remains of a clay pipe. Having grown far too animated with Aderlee's final words, the High Inquisitor had spilled the burning cherry of his pipeweed upon the missive...

"No matter. The witchdoctor's report stands in the heart of the Mandate. Now, to see a proper sacrifice..."
