Sulatudzor walked away from the mailbox in Undercity. He opened the few packages of gold from the auction house and slipped the coins into his bag. He made his way through it's halls to the poison vendor, where he mixed a new concoction to use on his foes. Once again, he wandered through the halls of the undead. He couldn't help but to do so. How this reminded him of 'home', of where his father spent most of his time researching and raising the dead, just to search for a better way to cut them down.
Sul spent day after day in those tombs. Watching the rotting corpses rise and fall, studying in his own way, visioning his technique of fighting. His father had seen Sul's eyes dance around the risen dead, and eventually allowed him to kill them as well. For years it would seem to his younger sister that the two would not emerge from the cold, stinky tombs for anything but sleep and a night time meal.
It's not that Sul and his father were close, no. Sul's father felt the burning cold stab of betrayal every time he looked into the face of his son. How Sul looked like his mother, the woman who left him when the royal guard tossed him from their ranks. They became aware one of their own was practicing necromancy, and he suspected his so called loving wife was the one to let the cat out of the bag. If that were not the worst of it, she left him, for his best friend and fellow guard's man. Said she couldn't see herself living a different lifestyle than that of a royal guard's man's wife. Sul's father couldn't help but take it out on the boy, it would make him strong anyways.
Sul came to a secluded spot under a bridge. He removed his pack, pulled out a flimsy hat and placed it on his head. He tossed the bag against the wall and sat against it. With his hat just covering his eyes he sat in quiet contemplation. Soon Airefaniel and Allora would be back from their training and the three would head back into the lands to slaughter many things. He just wished a moment to feel the warmth of the coldness for just a moment longer.
((for some reason wasn't letting me sign in as Sul. And I realllllly wanted to post this. So shoot me))
