The scourging of Ashenvale by Isabol

Unread post by Keeper Of Lore »

It began simply enough, a cry for help from the Ramparts in the Barrens. The Grim heard the call and went to investigate. The cowardly Alliance had attacked and then retreated, a common enough tactic for them. A few Grim arrived and saw that the fools had fled, and the decision was made to punish the interlopers.

The Grim rode hard for Mystral Post, an Alliance outpost in Ashenvale. Drinn led the raid with Isabol, Mogok, Eboncraft, Mavia, Terum and Greebo.

These seven Grim met the Alliance, and slaughtered them all without mercy.

Reinforcements arrived in the form of a fully seasoned hunter, but she lived less than fifteen seconds after dismounting to see what the fuss was all about.

The decision was made to strike out for Astranaar, and again the Alliance fled in terror. Despite the many sentries posted at Astranaar, the Grim left none alive.

After embarrassing the Alliance by sacking and burning two outposts, the seven Grim launched an assault against Auberdine, the coastal Night Elf city in northern Ashenvale. Again, they were met with resistance and the Grim prevailed. Once Auberdine was sacked and burned, the transport ships arrived from Menethil Harbor. The Grim killed all the Alliance passengers and boarded the liberated ship.

By this time the Alliance - shamed and brutalized - attempted to rally at the coastal town of Menethil, where the Grim attacked the docks and killed the dockworkers and sailors.

Alliance reinforcements arrived but could not prevent the seven Grim from destroying the shipping lanes and murdering the townsfolk. As transport ships arrived, the seven killed the new arrivals or chased them back onto the ships, the Alliance leaving a trail of tears and urine as mute testament to their lack of courage.

Mission accomplished, the Grim seven repaired to the World's End Tavern in Shattrath to drink our toasts and gloat at the slaughter.

I say hail to the Horde that has heroes, and I say pity to the Alliance, that needs them.

I am proud you are back in our ranks, Isabol.

Stir up the Hunt, Harbingers of Vengeance. Make all Grim shamed at their hands so clean and unbloodied.

The eagerness of the hunting party, the burned remains of the Alliance outposts and harbor, the twisted remains of our enemies was simply.. beautiful.

I expect to see more of you as we look to larger marks in the very near future.

That is two nights in a row Ashenvale, Darkshore, and Menethil Harbor felt the power of The Grim.

Deathshaow, Samuel, Cessily, Greebo, Aest, Maurt, and myself slayed many the previous night. The Grim shows their strength while the alliance do nothing but hide. ( If I forgot anyone feel free to yell. )
