This is the little USB sound device that I use for my work MacBook Pro, since it only has a combined in/out audio jack and it doesn't work with my headphones and a separate mic. Works perfectly fine on OSX and Linux.

Re: Headsets and MacBooks (for Drinn!)
Totally bought!
Do you have any ideas for good headsets?

Not really, but the thingie has dual inputs for headphones and an mic. So if you already have nice headphones, you can add on this nice clip on mic (not for noisy gaming environments though): http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-Zm-Mic1-Se ... lip+on+mic
Otherwise, there's a nice noise cancelling Mod Mic: http://www.modmic.com/collections/front ... modmic-4-0

Re: Headsets and MacBooks (for Drinn!)
So I had my turtle beaches on last night and I had done some streaming last week and noticed there was a clicking coming through for other people. My headphones are jack, my mic is usb. I'm beginning to think my usb connections in the actually machine are taxed. Pulling on cords and getting jostled.. that sort of thing. I could be wrong.. but it's a theory.
So I will definitely check out the none usb setup.
I'm going to make husband face start on my desktop this weekend. The stuff is already in the mail. Ugh.. PC... I don't wanna.
