Abric - December 9, 2005
Thrice folded, the missive was sealed with a drop of darkened
wax. The emblem marked was of a bird of prey, wings pulled into a
dive, with four starts stacked vertically on its left side.
Underneath was written the name of the recipient.
[Maledictus]Maledictus,
I will be honest in writing; my 'promotion' was surprising. Even
now, I begin to wonder the motives behind your hand. It is
obvious my skills and intelligence are needed among your inner
circle of puppets; filled as it is with peasants and simpletons.
Yet, things are always more than the face that the eyes can see.
Our conversation in the fallen city still holds. While I continue
to act as if under your strings; it is only an act. Even you are
not an exception to my wrath. Those that follow you blindly have
their purpose, just as I have mine. Do not take steps to forget
this. As your following grows, so do your thoughts stray. Allow
those lesser to handle their counterparts.
We share three similarities, Necromancer. The curse, the Lady,
and the knowledge that we are greater. We gaze at them from
different angles, but we cannot change what they are.
Abric
a yellowed paper is inscribed with small, spidery writing*
Abric,
There is wisdom in keeping your enemies close at hand. Never
assume that I am unaware of your lust for power, and never make
the mistake of threatening me again. Those who have attempted
treachery in the past are seldom heard from again.
If you persist in challenging my authority, one hundred Grim
daggers will be at your scrawny throat before you can blink, and
your mangled corpse strung from the parapets of Lordaeron.
Such treatment is how we discourage dissention.
Unlike yourself, I treat every member -even the undeceased- with
equal respect as long as they deserve it. Declaring them my
puppets insults us all. As Sylvanas herself clipped our strings
from the Scourge -giving us a form of Free Will- I would expect a
loyal Forsaken to show more restraint when using such terms.
Turn your wrath on our enemies, not your few allies, or your
plans will come to nothing. We Forsaken will cooperate with our
undeceased allies until Sylvanas commands we turn on them; and
only then.
-Maledictus
