Grim Application For Alakkul
How did you hear about The Grim? Do you know anyone in The Grim?
-I first saw The Grim on my Alliance characters during World PvP. After a while I became friends with Xaraphyne (I believe her character in The Grim is Filora). Since then I have become friends with Lilliana, Lupinum, and several others through doing RP and PvP.
The forums are The Grim’s primary method of communication. Will you check them regularly (at least a few times a week)?
-I have to admit I am quite new to guild forum use, even for my own guild, but I can safely say I will check in every day or two.
Tell us about your roleplaying experience. In WoW? Elsewhere? Do you consider yourself a heavy RPer? What does that mean to you?
-My roleplaying experience started last year around October when I came to Ravenholdt and joined Knights of Dusk. After joining I quickly integrated myself into the Alliance side roleplaying community. I would consider myself a fairly heavy RPer, RP is what I look forward to most when I log in for the day. Roleplaying in wow has given me a great reason to stay in the game I love and meet amazing people doing it.
The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild. Do you have any experience playing a character of this alignment or a character archetype that believes in structure with evil intent?
-I am still pretty new to the Evil character alignment, but I learn fast. My alliance characters lean toward more of a True Neutral or Chaotic Neutral.
Have you been part of any other guilds in World of Warcraft? If so, who were they and what server do or did they reside on? Let us know of your experience with them and what made you decide to either leave or continue to stay.
-In my years of playing World of Warcraft I have been lucky enough to be a part of several great guilds, and I helped form or became an officer in most of them. The first notable guild I joined was Killer Wolves on Garona(PvE), I was chosen by the guild leader and officers to become and officer as I helped them rebuild their ranks. From Killer Wolves I moved to Eternity on the same server. Eternity was the first guild I helped build from the ground up after most of the Killer Wolves leadership stoped playing. Because of a disagreement I left Eternity, on good terms, and joined the guild my real life friends were a part of, Brigade. I at one point also joined Zug Zug on Garona's Horde side, one of the prominent raiding guilds at the time, but after being ignored for the most part I decided that it wasn't for me. Once my friends on Garona stopped playing I decided it was the best time for me to try out RP, and not just any RP but RP on an RP-PvP server. When I arrived I stumbled upon Knights of Dusk, quickly joining them. With the Knights of Dusk my RP experience grew like wildfire. But because of disagreements me and another Officer got kicked out. I don't really have the room here to type it all out, but I am more than willing to fill someone if needed. After being kicked out my former Knights and I formed a new guild, Eternal Aegis. Horde side on TN/RH I am currently a part of Burrowed Time and Sanctuary.
Are you applying on an alt (non-main) character? If so, what are you looking for here that you are not getting from your main character? If you are feeling honest or adventurous, please let us know who your main is.
-Alakkul is my main-alt/Horde main. I just want to explore the Horde side a bit, and meet some cool people. My main character is Symorick-Ravenholdt, better known as Doctor Symorick Tyrrell.
What race and class is this character? Why did you choose this race and class?
-Alakkul is a Troll Death Knight. I chose this race and class combination because I wanted to RP a Sandfury Troll, so the Death Knight is purely for the skin color and the traditional blue eyes. In-character Alakkul is a blood drinker.
What are your expectations for your character after joining The Grim? What aspect of the game do you wish to focus on (raids, rated battlegrounds, arenas, challenge modes, achievements, etc.)?
- My focus for Alakkul is to RP and PvP. But I am willing to do just about anything if time allows.
What is your PvE (player-versus-environment) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a raid environment? Do you have any PvE experience from other MMO games?
-I have consistently raided since I hit level cap in Wrath of the Lich King, though I have not been doing much recently in Warlords. I enjoy most classes in a raid environment, hence the 12 and counting level 100s, but I prefer healers. I do not have experience with PvE from any other MMO games.
What is your PvP (player-versus-player) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a PvP environment? Do you have any PvP experience in other MMO games?
-I actively started PvPing during Warlords, but I had a few characters on Garona dedicated to PvP(Mostly battlegrounds). I am still learning my preferences for PvP classes, but again I tend to play healers. I do not have PvP experience from any other MMO games.
Did you read and understand our guidelines on character names, listed at the beginning of this application? (Please note, if your name does not fall within our guidelines and you do not want to do a name change, you are more than welcome to apply under a different character.)
-I did read and understand the guidelines on character names.
How is your computer performance when playing World of Warcraft? What is your FPS/load times during heavy graphical or high population times? Is your internet connection stable?
-I run the game on Ultra with very minimal lag. I get 30-130 fps depending on the area and the number of players. My internet is pretty stable, though it does decided to drop for a second from time to time.
Provide an armory link to your character.

What days/times do you typically play this character?
-Just about every day in the evening, but I am in college so my availability varies.
Have you read the Required Reading? Do you have any questions or concerns about anything there?
- I think I am clear on everything in the required reading.
Have you read the Mandate? Do you have any questions or concerns about it? Can your character live by it?
-I have read the Mandate and I feel I understand everything clearly. Alakkul can live by the Mandate.
Do you have anything further to add?
-I would just like to add that I am totally up for answering any other specific questions you guys may have.

Go to "Quick Links" --> "New Posts" --> Hit Ctrl-D and checking the Forums will end up being something you're doing constantly when your classwork ceases to make sense.Alakkul wrote:Grim Application For Alakkul
