Why the Cheese Vendor?

Unread post by Kyoukimaru »

Kyoukimaru's condition was spiking more often than normal as of the last few days. He found himself restless at all conscious times of day, constantly alert to possible enemy movement, and so impulsive in his assaults on said enemies that he'd already been asked to leave the ogre arena the Ring of Trials four times. Regardless of how many times the ogres forgot his face and name and had to in the end ask him politely, Kyou found his body helpless to the cause of leaping upon and violently dismantling any Alliance Machine foolish enough to come within eye-shot.

"IT'S MIIIIIIIIIIINE!" The goblin screamed as he leapt from one of the large masses of stone at the Throne of the Elements. The elementals curious watched as a tiny goblin fell from the sky and landed cleavers down in the sternum of a worgen, only to violently burrow his way inside before popping out the side of its thigh drenched in blood and gore! While their curiosity was noted, the elementals were suddenly taken aback as the cackling of the psychotic rogue turned to babbling words. Specifically, babbling demonic words.

"FERALON, NO! TAKE THAT MONSTER DOWN" screamed a furious dwarf seeing their ally slain on the plain by a tiny now fel-flame coated assassin! Kyou looked up to see a night elf warrior and a dwarf readying their weapons and moving in as a mage readied to support from behind! However, what these fools didn't realize was the level of skill this tiny little monster was preparing to unleash.

"TASTE MY BL---HRAAAGH!?!" The warrior shouted before the goblin leapt into his face, vanishing as an obvious after-image only to have the elf turn to receive a face full of strange black tar that clung to his face! The dwarf set a flare and readied his gun, but heard nothing past his dazed night elf's hushed yells. That is, until he heard a thud, and whipped around to see the mage unconscious on the ground! With his sharpened sense, the dwarf growled and whipped around, swinging at the presence behind him, only to have his makeshift attack countered and his rifle and arms knocked upwards! A slicing sound echoed through the field followed by a disgusting fleshy noise as the belly of the dwarf was ripped open.

"Blasted monster! Geen, where's he at? Geen?" The night elf shouted as he cleared the tar from his face, his eyes red with irritation. He turned to see his dwarf companion strangely kneeling over the body of his mage companion near the fallen corpse of the rogue. "No... Terras!" The elf shouted as he ran towards the bloody earth where the two companions were! Dropping his greatsword and desperately moving to the mage, the night elf looked him over a moment before noticing something strange. Blood was everywhere, but the mage was alive... just out cold... The elf looked up slowly, blinking repeatedly and looking to the dwarf. "What's the blood from, Geen?....Geen?......Geen what's wrong?" The elf looked curiously into the dwarfs face, that was pointed away before a sizzling sound caught his attention. His vision whipped around to the corpse of their assailant to see the shadowy body fading into the earth... A fake..

The night elf whipped back to look to his dwarf companion only to see the chest cavity burst open! Out from the gore launched the very rogue he thought to be slain! Kyou dove into the night elf's face, tackling the warrior to the ground screaming as felfire coated them both! Moments later, the night elf's mutilated body laid mostly next to the other two party members, with parts flung and spread around the place. The elemental furies that guarded the area wouldn't intervene, but looked angrily upon the goblin as he, instead of killing the unconscious mage, vanished. Terras, as he was called awoke under a pile of his companions corpses. Screaming and crying for many minutes before panic set back in. He was alive... but for how long? He reached for his hearthstone only to find his bag missing and scattered about the plains! Looking around for his key to safety for but a moment, the mage desperately searched for a stone, before recalling fact he was a mage.. I've gotta go... I've gotta go... gotta get out.... gotta go home...." the mage mumbled as he desperately readied to cast a portal. Focusing and opening a gateway he readied to step into it!

The portal trainer of stormwind, recently appointed such after the death of his predecessor, heard a curious thump arrive from a nearby gateway opening. Curious about what said sound was, he peered in to greet the party arriving. Turning the corner was the last thing he did, however, before a burning goblin launched through the gate and clear cut the man's head off, only stopping when he hit the nearby wall! By this time, Kyoukimaru had completely lost it. however, a recovered guard's report from the Stormwind Patrol revealed a massive disturbance of the peace that fateful evening.

"Captain,

127 men lay dead between guards and citizens, 19 adventurers and heroes joined them in the grave. An entire ranch nearby was burned to the ground, the animals slain, and their blood used to draw the words "IT'S MY DAY OFF" in the nearby mountainside, and amongst the riot and mass murder, the Cheese Vendor invaded a nearby armor shop, killed the owner, and set fire to the place! While the shop was barely saved, the family running it lay dead. The Cheese Vendor was seen leaving the crime scene, and found with the very blade used as well as multiple torches, thusly proving his guilt. While the man claims up and down to be innocent, his guilt is obvious. If it weren't for the efforts of one alert guard, he would have gotten away with the crime thanks to the chaos. But the patrol pulled through, and while the assailant of stormwind got away with mass murder, only described as a green flame coated animal wielding butcher's knives, THIS coward was put to justice. He is to be hanged till death at dawn. Light have mercy on his soul.. The dastard..

In Addition: King Varion believes it was you, sir, who planted the Gnomish "Whoopee Cushion" on his throne prior to his strategy meeting with Greymane. Whilst Lord Greymane found this hilarous, the king was very upset. Please tread carefully sir.

Very Respectfully,
Private Verathal"

Kyoukimaru awoke the next morning in westfall, laying naked atop the crows nest of a wrecked ship just off shore. sitting up, he quickly realized it had happened again. Looking to his things he stood and quickly caught a small object that feel from somewhere on his person. The object had the look of a Warlock's Soulstone... But slightly off. Kyou recognized this tiny crystal and quickly pocketed it. He had to find his hearthstone and get going. While the tan he'd gotten was nice, he figured leaving Westfall would be for the best..
