The vacant office of the High Inquisitor was drafty in the absence of its mistress. Syreena the Shadowblade had become restless and in her haste to continue the hunt of Sanctuary, she forgot to calibrate the wards set upon the various tomes and missives that were stacked in neat little piles upon the aged desk. A mischievous gust of dank air from the grog cellars of the Guild Hall whipped through the office and chose two coincidental leaves of notations. One tumbled through the old corridors of The Grim to flutter its way onto the cramped bunk of Eldaeron.

Very cordial. An expert in the arts of the Nether. Far too peculiar about the effects in his quarters. Did not appreciate the use of snowballs around his "sensitive equipment".
Watch for signs of that old thing. They never seem to stay in the shadows for long.

The other slip of hasty scribbles took a much longer and circuitous route, twisting down recessed and spiraled stairs, crossing precipitous spans of stonework bridges that hung like fine lace in a dark abyss, and finally gliding beneath the towering, if inviting, door of the Twice-Made.

The wind continued its insane path through the lower reaches of the Grim Halls before dying in a stone obelisk that purportedly commemorates the machinations of now-forgotten arcanists sworn to a nameless god.
