It was with a heavy heart that Aureliya sat at her desk, staring at the empty parchment in front of her. An inkwell sat next to the parchment, and she held the quill poised in her hand as she looked at the blank page. For several nights now, she had intended to put the quill to paper and carry out the message she had planned to send. But it was a difficult thing to do.
Very difficult, indeed.
Still, she was doing nobody any favors by delaying what was necessary. Least of all, herself. Placing the feathered quill aside, she lifted a mug of steaming tea and took a long sip. Enough was enough. The sooner she set out on her journey, the sooner- hopefully- she could return.
The next morning, a message was posted up in the guild hall, for all to see.
Grim,
As many of you are undoubtedly aware, for quite some time now, my magic has continued to fail me. Rather than going stronger over time, as is expected of any wielder of the Arcane, it has grown increasingly weakened. I have long been seeking an answer as to the reason for this, but my search thus far has been in vain.
However, upon contacting the Magister elders of Silvermoon, they have agreed to meet with me and hopefully seek a reason for this ailment- be it the result of curse or illness- and hopefully, a cure.
I am uncertain as to just how long my absence will last. I have already spoken with Commander Awatu and Inquisitor Syreena, and informed them of my trip. Syreena will soon be stepping up in my place, as the new High Inquisitor. Our Commander will inform you of when that change is to take place.
I will still be available via goblin post, and may even at times be able to visit the guild hall. But the duration of my absence is not yet known.
I hope to be able to return to you promptly. And my greatest wish is for the Magisters to have success with finding a cure to my ailment, so that I may better serve The Mandate.
May Victory follow you into battle.
Yours,
Aureliya Raindawn of The Grim
Peace Through Annihilation!
