~ The sun slowly starts to set on Silvermoon City. Deep within the Sanctum on Murder Row, Melchom examines his favorite spyglass. His fingers running over a name plate on the side. Melchom polishes the name plate off and the engraving becomes crystal clear.
"...Sylvea ..." Melchom's demons laugh to themselves, whispering the name in his ear. His eyes close, and a memory comes to the surface for a moment, but he dare not acknowledge it. He couldn't show weakness in front of his minions.
" Say that name again and I will kill each of you, only to bring you back and kill you again ..." Melchom's words silenced the demons, their faces bitter and angry. Melchom ignored their stares, his eyes fixed on the spyglass. A voice from the swarm of demons called out, soft and raspy, "iT MakEs yOu weAk ..."
Melchom's eyes darted towards the demons. Immediately they shuttered and tried to hide behind one another. Cries came from the corner. Melchom looked back down at the spyglass. "Perhaps you are right." Melchom smirked to himself, "We all have been in the Nether for far too long." The demons each looked at each other curiously, Melchom had never agreed with one of them before.
Melchom took one last look at the name plate, "She taught me how to survive in this world .." Melchom stopped himself and peered deeply into the engraving. "No, not this world. -This- world is something new." Melchom held the spyglass in his hand, the name plate to his palm. "What she taught me doesn't apply anymore." Melchom's hand engulfed in flames, the spyglass popped and cracked, the name plate ... Warped and illegible. Melchom grinned wickedly and tossed the spyglass to his demons, the metal an orange hue.
"Time to learn some new tricks ..." Melchom pointed his hand at the demons, dismissing them one by one. Melchom looked at his last demon, "Time we found a new teacher within The Grim." Fel fire shot from Melchom's hand and smothered the demon. Melchom turned his back to it and started to walk away, the demon cried out.
"WHY?!"
Melchom smirked and dismissed the demon, "Don't ever call me weak again ..."
