It was after the Grim meeting when I was able to speak to one of the only other Sunwalkers I'd come across on a regular basis. Awatu, who had been promoted to leader of the Grim, had a similar background to my own, and I felt a little bit of solidarity with him. I had hoped he'd answer my questions, as what I'd re-learned about the Sunwalkers did not seem to match up with the Mandate, which was giving me a bit of a headache.

If there was one thing I'd learned about those who lead the Grim, it was that while they had a commanding aura about them they also were incredibly patient, and Awatu was no different. I think he understood the bit of conflict I felt, though make no mistake, I do not disagree in the least with the Mandate. I was uncertain of how to reconcile the two paths, to meld them into one to follow. His explanation seemed almost incredibly simple, and I was surprised I hadn't thought of it myself. I don't recall his exact words, but the idea behind it is easy enough.

As a Sunwalker, we are charged with protecting the Earthmother, and we use the power of An'She to do so. We are warriors, healers, protectors, and we fight alongside our companions to eliminate those who seek to harm the Earthmother. The most guilty of this crime are the disgusting Dwarves and Gnomes. They are like parasites, digging deep into the earth, and it is our calling to shine the Light on these pitiful creatures, and to destroy them. Those who ally themselves with them, who aid their cause, will earn themselves the same sentence.

I must admit, I feel more certain now, my path a bit clearer before me. With each passing day I learn more about the Grim, and while I do not remember my exact reasons for joining, I am beginning to realize that this is truly my home. I've more members to speak with, and I find myself eager to learn more, not just about the Mandate and the history of the Grim, but also how we fit in with the fight to free the Horde of Garrosh, the Alliance, and all who would think to make peace with the enemy.

Awatu also gave me a name, Bor'ghul Flamespeaker, the Orc Warlock who brought him into the Grim. I wonder if he is a past member, and what I can learn about him...
