Trial of Resolve - Second Interview
((I have sat down with a handful of Grim members and learned about them, about their past, and gotten to know them.
I will now recant what I have learned about each individual, in my own words, sharing with you a little about their past before they where Grim, and who they are now, as Grim, and what the Mandate means to them, and what I have learned from them about the Mandate myself.))
Addikus (Addie)
Undead Male Rogue

I moved through the Undercity at an increased pace, that city has always made me feel...uneasy at best. The dead walking around, abominations shuffling down the paths, and the feeling that ghosts are always peering into my soul, has a way of making an Orc feel unwelcome.

But, this is where Addikus wanted to meet for our conversation. On top of choosing a rather, dismal location to chat, he also decided he wanted to play a little game of hide and find, it took at least ten minutes to find the subtle rogue in the upper levels of the war quarter.

Out of breath from searching, I managed a slight wave at the Rogue sitting on a ledge in front of me, then with a grunt sat down near him. After resting a moment, I asked him to share his Grim story with me, and with a smile he began his tale from when he was Human.

Human Past-
Addikus grew up as a child in a small fishing village on the western edge of the Eastern Kingdoms. He got into trouble often as a young boy, was involved in a lot of fights, and was headed for a life of crime when he decided it was best to move on, he survived on his own by picking pockets, and small time theft as he moved from village to village. Addikus was still just a young kid when he got caught during his first big time thieving job for a local gang, the law was harsh on the boy, it was either go to jail, or military service.

Addikus chose service, and was thrown into the Alliance ranks as a spy. He did good things, had a lucrative run, did a lot of growing up, served for several years and became very good at his trade. But things would turn sour for him again yet, he was double crossed by his partner while they where working undercover amongst a group of particularly dangerous pirates, when the Alliance made their scheduled raid on the pirates with the undercover spies information, his partner lied to the Alliance Captain, claiming he was the only spy on board and had no idea who Addikus even was.

Addikus had been burned by his fellow spies, and left to rot in jail. He sat in that jail for days, eating the dirty bread, and drinking the unclean water as he steamed and contemplated the reasons behind his burn. His vision blurred, his mind slurred, and he slumped against the prison's wall, his mind slowed to its final stretch and he muttered in his mind; the spies that burned him must have just been jealous of his abilities, and his fading thought was about the vengeance he would never have. Addikus closed his eyes as death took him, his body went limp and he slid down in the corner of the cell, his arm hit the floor and released the green speckled bread that not even a fly would touch. The plague has grabbed him, and the Lich King crept slowly into his mind.

In Undeath-
Addikus knew nothing about his time between dieing as a human, and regaining consciousness and control as a Forsaken Undead.

He wandered for some time, coming to terms with his new reality and regaining lost knowledge of his Human past. He quickly remembered his final days, his burn as a spy, and his burners.

He found friends among the Grim, and knew he would need them, he struck a deal with the members of the Grim, he would server their mandate with all his ability if they, in return, would help him find and kill his Burners.

That is how Addikus came to be Grim.

As Grim-
As a Champion of the Grim, Addikus focuses on destroying the Alliance at any and all costs, but will still step in as often as needed to help vanquish worldly foes as well.

Addikus is one of the creators of the Scalp Hunt, and is quite proud of this, he often will lead other Grim into the battlegrounds for the glory of the Horde.

The Mandate is fulfilled by Addikus' bloodthirst time and time again, as he stands over the corpses of Alliance soldiers and is never afraid to fight in honor of the Grim and the Horde.

--
I said my goodbyes to Addikus, got up, and headed topside, I had quiet enough of this haunted city for the time being. But I left with the knowledge of a new found comrade and a brother in arms.

I learned from Addikus that the Mandate must be served with dedication. One must always be dedicated to the destruction of the Alliance, and therefore, one must always be dedicated to fight when needed.

((--Disclaimer
This story is retold with information given to me by the Grim member in the tale, I have slightly rearranged and added words to make it more story worthy, if anything is incorrect, I apologize, and do not claim that this is this persons solid background.))
