Trial of Combat - A Giant Foe is Crushed

Unread post by Lunataure »

I stand before a great and ancient foe.

A foe that I would not have believed existed until I was dropped into what seemed an abyss.
When I awoke from the shock of surviving such an impossible fall I was then held in awe of the creature before me. The creature known as Tortos had lived it’s wretched life below the Thunder Kings Palace and now was size of a small village.

With the combines strength of my Grim brothers and sister we finally defeated this hulking beast. The battle was not easy and I proudly offered sacrifice of my life not just once but many times before the turtle finally fell.

I have gathered bits of his shell and crafted myself a bow to remind me of this great beast and of this great battle. My shattered tortoiseshell longbow will be with me until my hands grow cold and my heart stills as a reminder that with my brothers and sisters of The Grim that we can take down any foe that stands before us.

Awatu glances over the document and included picture, studying the picture more than the written words. He grunts, folds both items into an envelope, then produces a blank parchment upon which he begins to write.

"Well done, Supplicant. There is still much more that stands before you. Do not disappoint.

Awatu, High Inquisitor.
