Trials of the Supplicants

((I'll be keeping a record of Awatu's thoughts and musings on Supplicants here as they complete their Inquisitions. Rather than make a new tiny thread every time, this one will just be updated when a Supplicant turns in their Trial of Sacrifice.))
The elf disappeared beyond the archway leading further into the Shrine as Awatu looked down at the bits of broken fang. A small scattering of powdered residue marred the surface of the stone floor. Shattered bits surround the area where the hammer struck the fang, and a small frown tugs at his mouth. He picks up the pieces, earning a curious glance from a Pandaren record-keeper, before he walks downstairs to a lit brazier. He looks at the flames for a moment before tossing the remnants of the fang into the fire. It would take a long time before they are nothing more than bits of charcoal, but that was not a concern of his.
He touched a necklace of kodo teeth around his own neck. "That necklace was nothing but a memory... So what makes mine different? he pondered, staring into the flames. "The spirit of the kodo gives me power and insight. It is not a hindrance to The Mandate. A memory that holds back an arrow or a spell can be. A memory that diverts thoughts from our goals will. That is the difference. he sighed softly, turned away from the brazier and made is way towards the entrance. A call for battle came from his hearthstone and his pace quickened for a moment. A few deep breaths before mounting his hippogryph, he looked up at the fading twilight of the evening. The words he had said to Naroka came back to his mind. "Do not forget the past, but do not live in it." Satisfied with these thoughts, he took flight towards the northern reaches of Pandaria.

A rolled scroll waits upon the desk of the Arbiter. The writing is large and blocky, but neat and legible.
"Arbiter,
The Sin'dorei, Naroka Wolfsong, has completed his Inquisition. He fought with the Seigebreakers and earned his kills. He spoke with our members and learned of our history and cause, applying what he learned to his battles. He sacrificed connections to his past that would interfere with The Mandate in the form of a family heirloom and the memories associated with it. This one has done what has been asked of him and has passed my examination of his character. In my eyes, he is Grim. At our next gathering, your final judgment will be carried out.
Awatu, High Inquisitor."
