Supervision and Observation (Duroxas' Second Task)

Unread post by Duroxas »

It was not exactly the sort of assignment he was expecting, truth be told. He'd heard other supplicant's tasks- Collect heads of this or that, kill some number of alliance out in the field. So, naturally, Duroxas was under the impression that the focus of his next task was going to involve killing something or other and bringing proof back.

Nope. In essence, it was babysitting.

Duroxas' assigned inquisitor, Bryii, had tasked him a few days ago with his second task; To accompany her apprentice Traevalsta Felmoon on an excursion through the Caverns of Time, back to when the moment of the world's end was closest and the Destroyer was at the brink of ending Azeroth for good. The both of them being warlocks, Duro being a particularly knowledgable one, it would be a good way for her apprentice to learn a thing or two about the fel arts, and gain some experience in hectic combat. He was to watch how she performed, instruct her when needed, and of course make her smile.

All in all, Duroxas mused to himself as he waited for her at the entrance to the Caverns of Time, a reasonable task. Traevalsta was endearing, clingy in an almost adorable way, and an honest and eager learner when it came to fel magic. He chuckled to himself thinking about it; the little undead girl had even admitted to having a bit of a crush on him! Not that he could reciprocate the feeling, of course. Far too young. And dead.

He perked his ears at the sound of her drake approaching, waited for a moment for her to land, and chuckled somewhat more audibly as she ran over and hugged him tightly around the waist. He caught a glimpse of her smile; Well, that's one part down.

The both of them were exhausted; it was more straining a battle than Duroxas had anticipated seeing as the other marauders that had entered the caverns with them didn't seem to... get along. He reached over to ruffle Traevalsta's hair in a playfully congratulatory way, but pulled his hand back away from her spiked hood. She looked up at him endearingly, and he smiled back.

"Good job"

Two down, One to go...
