Letters to my Kin (( Charlemayne Sunsorrow ))

My dearest mother and father,
I pray this letter finds you both in good health. It has been too long since I have seen or spoken to you, and for that I send my deepest regrets. It is my hope that in the light of Amar's death, we can find healing, and grow close like we once were.
My loyalty still lies with the Blood Knights, but I have grown within them, and I have adventured further in the ways of the Light. I know you still wish me to attend the priesthood, but the path of a paladin is my way in life. Alas, I feel my skills lead me far beyond the borders of Quel'Thalas. I have undertaken missions for the Argent Crusade, and I am proud to call myself a Crusader. I am also proud to let you know that Amar and I served in the slaying of the Lich King, from which you know how Amar fell to his minions. What the messengers failed to tell you, however, was how brave my brother was in the face of pure evil. I saw firsthand that my brother pushed the scourge back, and I saw the unholy axe cleave his body in half. Amar was fearless and aided many of our fallen, restoring their faith in the Light and mending even deeper wounds.
Alas, this letter was not meant to bring back sorrowful memories, but rather to bring uplifting news.
I am doing very well in my trainings. The Mandate has brought me new ways of thinking how I can slay my enemies and assist my friends in their darkest times. I have made new friends within the Grim; there is Bryii, also a Crusader. She reminds me of my sister, she is very kind but yet so much stronger than I could ever find myself. Gurthoira was also very close to me, alas he has disappeared and I fear the worse for him. Kailei is also from the Blood Knights, and Arrothien is a Crusader of the Light. Deminthus, however, is very... strange, I'll put it. He says he was raised by orcs, so his mannerism is very strange to me. Do not get me wrong, he is kind and polite, and uses the Light well, he is just different. Arrothien uses the Light in many ways that I never thought possible. Bryii and I have used it to heal our allies, and Kailei and I use to push enemies back, but Deminthus and Arrothien use it as a fighting tool. It is very fascinating to me, and I will seek out this new tool with eagerness.
The night draws in, my dear parents, so I must bid you farewell for now. I promise to write soon. Should you wish to write me back, please do so, for I miss both of you. I shall let you know when I plan to visit our great city soon.
Love always,
Charlemayne
