Winter Veil

Unread post by Inzema »

T'was the night 'fore Winter Veil, and all through the world, a dastardly plan would soon be unfurled.
Many slept, some still awake, and parties aplenty had food, drink and cake.
Dwarves in their mound, Kal'dorei their tree, and humans in Stormwind awaited with glee,
They all knew the truth, tonight was the night, Greatfather Winter was coming, alright.
He'd walk 'cross the lands, spreading the snow, and leave gifts for all who liked it, you know.
This Veil was different, not quite the same,  and one certain corpse would be excited to claim.
He walked into the city, dressed all in red, with a bag on his back, a hat on his head
A beard full of white blew about his old face, as the winds whipped and howled all over the place.
He smiled to the guards and pulled from his sack a gift for each, wrapped in red, green, and black.
"Happy Veil!" he said, as he kept right on walking while all of the guardsmen went straight to the talking.
They opened their presents, and what did they see? Food and drink to enjoy, all free.
Gadgets and gizmos that sang, whirled, and spun, and that's when the party had truly begun.
They drank and they ate and were generally merry, enjoying their gifts without a thought scary.
Inside the city, though, things would soon change, because now entered a corpse, mad and deranged.
He entered a home with silence and care and stole through the rooms to the ones who lived there.
He slit a throat, blood fountaining high, and watched with a smirk as the young human died.
The second was next, and boy she was pretty, so he opened her stomach and inserted a kitty.
He sewed her up tight, enjoying her screams, then silenced her pain with a couple more seams.
This family now dead, save the one left a writhing, and he left to continue the task he was trying.
The second home was gnomes, sat quiet 'round the fire, enjoying the sound of a device's song by a choir.
He paralyzed them quickly with a device in his hand and walked around slowly so they'd understand.
He picked up the youngest, little more than a babe, and the gnomes started to cry at the look it he gave.
He chewed on the arms, those succulent limbs, and ate every piece till the whole babe was within.
He grinned at the mother, blood on his smile, and said "Thanksss for the food, I've been hungry a while."
He chopped up the husband into four separate parts and opened the son so he could eat the boy's heart.
The last was the mother, tears running down quickly, as her face turned green and she vomited sickly.
The corpse smiled at her with glee in his eyes as he said "Guesss what! You're the one that don't die!"
He left the gnome house, leaving behind a great mess, with the mother becoming insane from duress.
The next house he came to was quite a surprise, 'fore when he opened the door, he couldn't believe his eyes.
Up on the couch sat a woman just waiting, a Draenei smiled at him, and he started debating.
She sat on the couch wearing practically nothing, and said to him "Greatfather, my stocking needs stuffing."
He dropped his sack and joined her by the fire, and the screams that she made were all from desire.
After all the fun he left with a smile, hunger and lust all sated a while
But before he departed, he took one thing from his pocket and left a great bomb roght there in the market.
He set off the timer and stepped through a gate, not staying to watch, not bothering to wait.
The bomb exploded, the fires sprung high, the explosion so great that it lit up the sky.
The explosion left a cloud, a skull, bones, and hood, so all would know and all understood.
T'wasn't Greatfather that had been here tonight, but the Grim instead, and boy, what a fright!
Because the Grim stand for one thing above else and all. "Peace through annihilation," till the last one does fall.
