A weapon transformed

The death knight looked to his left, nothing. He could have sworn he saw something, he gripped his runeblade tightly. Nothing stood against a death knight of the Lich King, so why did he feel like he was being stalked? On the ledge above Raven looked down at the confused minion, he gripped Fisura and leapt down behind the human and let out a roar as he charged. The death knight wheeled around and parried the blow. Raven shoved Fisura against the runeblade knocking the death knight back. The death knight threw out his hand and Raven felt a blast of frost hit him in the chest. He grunted and staggered back a few steps. Regaining his senses he glared at the champion of the Lich King through the ruby eyes of his helmet. His vision went to a dark blood red and he quickly launched into a bladestorm. The death knight’s eyes widened behind his helmet, he quickly thrust his runeblade into the ground sending out a wave of frost. The ice shot up in a desperate attempt to stop the warrior but Fisura cleaved straight through it. The death knight brought up his blade and prepared to try and block the whirling tempest. Raven slammed straight into the knight knocking him back a few feet as well as chipping the death knights weapon. A small shard of what seemed to be ice flew from the weapon, Raven recognized what he was looking at, Shadowfrost. This crystal was once part of the Lich Kings prison, crafted from the icy crystals in the Twisting Nether. Rumors said that the Lich King would take one of these shards and infuse it’s powers into the weapons of his favored pets.
The shard landed on Fisura. A glow burst from the weapon as the saronite that was used to craft Fisura consumed the shard. Fisura began to shimmer before seeming to change it’s very shape. The back edge of the axe spread out into what looked like a bat wing while the front edges melded into one brutal blade. The topmost of these blades seemed to bend upward and created a sharp tip that in some ways resembled a sword and looked excellent for impaling an opponent, small sharp serrated edges ran down to the bottom of the blade. As the axe finished its transformation the glow began to fade revealing the Shadowfrost shard, embedded directly in the center of the head.
Raven marveled at Fisura for a moment before remembering the death knight who was now forcing himself to his feet. The death knight roared and charged Raven. Raven quickly swung Fisura, shattering the runeblade and cutting into the death knight’s armor. A scream of pain burst from the Lich King’s champion as his blood poured into the ground of Icecrown. He looked up to see the undead twirl his new weapon before thrusting it through the helpless death knight. He gasped for breath once and then was still. Raven yanked Fisura out of the fallen knight’s chest and stood for a moment taking in what had happened. A squawk was heard from a nearby rock, Raven turned to see his companion, Phantom, resting on a nearby rock seeming to praise it’s master with its dark red eyes.
Raven sheathed Fisura as Phantom wrapped himself around his masters neck. He scratched the dragonhawks head affectionately before heading deeper into the frozen wastelands. He was getting closer to his target. Arthas.

Greebo looked up from his scribbling, working to re-arrange some of the disturbing looking runes on the scroll in from of him into so sense of Chaos. His attention was drawn to the axe the warrior was holding and nodded once in satisfaction. His attention was drawn back to the runes and a frown formed - surely they had not changed themselves while he looked away? A flicker of black oil danced across one eye and then the other, tracing the path of the axe of souls through the room.
