The Return

Unread post by Ashenfury »

** Ashenfury begins to sing in a deep and bellowing roar. You notice that not only does he articulate well and use dramatic pause but he also has a very well tuned voice of song. **

The Return
For years a spirit had walked the ashen colored land of death
He watched the changes and cursed them under his breath

Allies and enemies had alike gone asunder
He could see all their faces
and hear all their voices
in the passing of thunder
and the sight of their choices

The wind had been howling and the heart had gone dead
But this feeling of change came with a feeling of dread

The call inherit to his long dried blood came on the heels of lightning
It streaked across the sky filling the spirits with unrest at it's sighting

The lone Orc ran with the haste of a wolf towards battle
So long had it been since he had heard his friends' idle prattle

He passed by lakes, rivers, forests and deserts
Ignoring each vista of breathtaking pleasure
After four nights of relentless ongoing chase
The bolt of electricity seemingly went to no place

Frustration ensued as the light disappeared
Hope fled his mind, replaced with the fear

And when desperation came to it's highest point of endurance
Color flowed through the land as did the Orc's reassurance
He tested his grip and squeezed tight his hands
He tried out his powers and shifted underfoot sand

Remembrance came to his mind as he grabbed for his bag
Oh the joy of his gnome herb and the smoking to be had

Just as he was realizing his rebirth was not that of a dream
He heard the soft gentle voice of his guardian boom like a scream
"The battle fares poorly and the world needs your help."
Ashenfury gulped deeply barely stifling a yelp

He saluted the sky and flexed his mighty shaman power
He called on the winds and the clouds to pour forth a shower
Towards his brethren he began the long soggy walk
There was much to be learned and time for a talk

"Metinks I'm back..."
