The Birth of a Shaman

Unread post by Ashenfury »

** Ashenfury begins to sing in a deep and bellowing roar. You notice that not only does he articulate well and use dramatic pause but he also has a very well tuned voice of song. **

The Birth of a Shaman
He strolled alone along the canyons wooded edge
It would be this day that he made his silent pledge
The silence shattered as a scream broke through his thoughts
He looked into the canyon as the Orcish cry fought

Tasting the air he could tell the tale
The wafting smell of fresh spilled blood
His senses claimed that brethren fell
And then he became the FURY flood

He yelled "Chu runnin' to be hunted"
As his pace quickened to find the knave
Shadow closed and he just grunted
Into the chasm, he went so brave

The air became cooler as his blood grew to boil
The shadow grew thicker and his eyes tinted red
He left deep imprints in the now soft foreign soil
And stomped on without the least hint of dread

Raging tempests enhanced his flight
For he flew on the feet of Thralls great stride
Through canyons, chasms, dark, and bright
He chased the shadow through the night

The chase was on and must be finished
The need for vengeance wont diminish
A clearing opened from through the briars
He finally stopped and smelled the fires

Laughter assaulted all of his senses
The cackles came from every side
Combat gear met his tightest clenches
As he prepared to flood the tide

Veins appeared and heartbeats tripled
This untapped power could surely cripple
He stomped and roared his battle cry
It was then they knew that they would die

He ran headfirst into a creeping shadow
And lifted the rogue with an electric cackle
He chocked him with an impossible grasp
And spilled his thoughts upon the grass

Claws bore down into his back
He turned and cleaved the bear in half

He basked in blood and loosed his anger
He then unshackled his untapped stranger

Fire scorched his very soul while lightning leapt from head to toe
Water erupted where he stood it was just then he knew he could
He pulled the sky into his hand and blew the leaves from every stand
The raging tempest billowed and revealed the hidden trembling man

He roared "IT WAS CHU WHOM KILLED MY BRETHREN!"

He leapt into the air and dropped his axe with the weight of a mountain
An arm flew away as the human tried to scramble out of sight
Ferral claws of flame let loose a scorching painful fountain
Just then the Orc gained a force behind this new found fury plight

He scorched the leafless trees and split the bloodstained earth
He flooded the dark ravine with the wind of a vengeful mirth

To this day the chasm's clearing is scarred beyond the ability of gods
For it was that night that he first harnessed the strength of a shamans call
